Abel came rushing into his room in exasperation haven looked for Ed everywhere without any positive results.
He had returned to cast an astral projection to aid him in looking for him but as soon as he opened the door to his room, he was shocked by the sight he saw.
"Baron?" He muttered surprisingly, staring at the Baron and then at the unconscious Ed who was on the bed.
How had he gotten in here and most importantly, how did Ed end up on his bed?
He wanted to ask but kept his cool, he was in no position to ask him such a question and thus, he kept quiet and so didn't.
"I saw him lying on the floor and so I brought him in here" the Baron muttered to him as if haven read his mind and the questions burdening it.
Why? Abel almost blurted again but was quick in stopping himself from doing so .
The Baron didn't care to explain any further, haven lied about finding Ed Warren on the floor as if he hadn't been watching him through the astral projection he had sent his way.
But he hadn't picked the projection he sent for him and went for the wrong one. But what was surprising was how the demon has expelled itself out without any it interference from an outside source.
This had been what caused all of his interests to be invested in the boy. There was just something about him that he couldn't deny and regardless of how many times he wanted to dismiss them off.
"He is your friend isn't he?" He stared in Abel's direction and asked.
The boy was growing suspicious of him evident from the look on his face and he didn't want to place Ed in a position he would not be able to come out easily from due to his interest in him.
Abel stared at the Baron with mouth agape, unable to say anything.
Ed wasn't his friend and there was no way something of sort would happen. He was just a sidekick he was going to be training to take attacks on his behalf. Nothing else and nothing more.
***********
"Who is he?" A husky voice interrupted a lady walking towards him.
His tone was harsh and his voice did not betray the anger and vileness he felt.
Lorraine shuddered, immediately regaining her balance from the fall the unexpected voice had almost caused her to.
"Si Elle" she began, unsure of what to say nor how to begin, given the jealousy that was evident all over his face.
If there was one thing about him that she was already fed up with, then that would be his constant bolts of jealousy but then, what was she to do.
She was underneath him and a life without him seemed likely impossible for her.
"Like I said earlier, I do not know whom he is. He's just one of these people claiming to know me in order to survive out here. Who else wouldn't claim to know Lorraine, the woman of the mighty grandmaster?"
She tried praising him to avert his attention from what currently burdened his thoughts.
Si Elle peered at her with narrowing eyes seeing underneath her surface how tiresomely she was trying to divert his attention.
"You can leave. We still have alot to prepare for the task ahead" his voice trailed off as he said the last words and Lorraine could notice that he was trying to dismiss her off.
"I belong to only you Si Elle and for that reason, I know and will know no other man except you" she pitched at him convincingly before turning her back and striding towards the door.
Relief washed over her face as she reached the door and her fingers made their way to the door knob. Si Elle hadn't reacted nor even sent flying objects her way, which was unlike him.
Normally, whenever he heard another man calling her name or seeming to know her, he would hurl insults her way after battering her up physically.
It came as surprising that he hadn't done anything to her nor even to Ed whom she hadn't heard about anymore.
No reports have come in of him dying, so it was safe for her to say that Si Elle had pardoned him calling her as an acquitance of his.
She recalled how she had crossed paths with him.
Then, a mere hungry little girl who had gotten chased away from her house because her mother had refused paying the rent.
Hunger coursed through her veins that day, and so did her curiosity for things.
Ed had always been the one bringing her food sometimes, but the were all too small for her to even get satisfied from. So for that day after she got chased out of the house for it's rent not being paid, she had stayed at a front store in the streets and that was before she caught a glimpse of a handsome and dashing looking man who was engaged in a fight with some boys down her neighborhood.
For her, it wasn't something to be super excited and interested in because it was a daily sight for her, seeing the boys down the neighborhood fight one another as if that was going to solve the imminent problems of hunger that disturbed them all.
But alas, her interest got piqued when she saw that the young boy who was fighting her neighborhood boys assumed several images she couldn't tell which one she had seen properly.
From seeing him in the replies of her page grandmother to him assuming the physique of her own parents, Lorraine's initial special interest in whom he was had been triggered by these and this had led her into not running away despite seeing the others run.
She had been sure they saw what she saw too, or perhaps something else because she could still overhear some of the boys voices as they ran away from him screaming different names.
The names of their late family members whom hey had seen themselves fighting, each mouth proclaiming another name even though it had been one teenage boy like they were at that time, fighting with.
"Who are you?" Lorraine had mustered the courage to ask him when the others had gone then, and for some reasons, he had found it hard to ignore her and her questions.
At the sight of her, e had been greatly smitten. Who wouldn't be. Her beauty was like that of a hundred women combined that no matter where she walked at, the heads of men swayed in her direction,in awe of her.
Lorraine snapped back from her trance as he door closed behind her as she left.
" Make sure to instruct the demon in him to torment him. I want his life to be sapped out of him little by little and in the most painful way possible" Si Elle said the moment Lorraine left the room, shifting his gaze to a leach that was in a glass beside him, opening the lid as he set it free to obey his commands.
As he sat back and watched the Leah crawl out of the room, the annoyed expressions on his face began to melt.
"I am Si Elle De Montfort. Lorraine Blai is mine and whosoever that finds her attractive to be theirs, shall live the punishment of the folly of their actions" he blared to himself and to no one else in the room.
