Olivia's brows arched, and a slow smirk tugged at her lips. With an exaggerated roll of her eyes, graceful as if rehearsed, she replied, "Don't flatter yourself. And don't ever call me Liv again unless you wanna see how fast that fake smile of yours can get wiped off."
Amanda's nails bit into her palms as she struggled to maintain the facade, the smile becoming more strained by the second. "Of course," she said in that same syrupy tone. "Wouldn't dream of it."
With a dismissive flick of her hand, Olivia turned back around, grabbing Sumaya's arm again. "Let's go, Maya. My brain's losing cells the longer I stand here," she said, her voice laced with casual cruelty.
Sumaya followed without resistance, though her gaze lingered on Amanda, confusion and curiosity flitting across her face. She couldn't shake the feeling that something deeper was brewing beneath Amanda's surface. Whatever game Amanda was playing, it wasn't over.
