Sunny clutched her stomach in pain. "Sunny are you alright?" Ariana asked. "Oh yes, I'm fine" Sunny said in assurance. "I want to ride to the petty horsey" Sofia said.
"Baby bear what are you talking about?" Audrey asked. "Horsey go round and round till you vomit" Sofia said. "Oh, merry-go-round" Ariana replied. "You want to go there?" Sunny asked.
"Yes please" Sofia said. They went to the merry-go-round and had the time of their lives. Soon after Sunny went to get ice cream while the girls stayed with Sofia.
"Aunty bear I want a doll" Sofia said. "Baby bear would you like a dolphin?" Ariana asked. "Mhmm" Sofia said in excitement. "Don't worry I'm sure Aunty bear would win that doll for you, she's quite skilled in this game" Ariana said.
Audrey glared at Ariana. She could helplessly cave into her demand. Audrey took a deep breath and shot the first target but it missed. "Hold on, she hit the target" Ariana said.
"Sorry sweet pea but the rules of the game states that the doll must be knocked over but it ain't. Ain't that ironic" The game master said. "I hate this ugly uncle" Sofia said.
The game master grabbed Sofia by the arm. "Hey kid who are you calling ugly? Huh?" He asked furiously. With one swift punch on his neck he immediately collapsed. "Why did you do that?" Ariana asked. "He was hurting Sofia" Audrey said casually. Ariana grumbles in frustration.
"I want to see the horsey go round next please" Sofia said. "Sure" Audrey said as she grabs a giant stuffed dolphin from behind them counter. "Hey you're not supposed to take that" Ariana said. "I won it fair and square" Audrey said. "What would I do with you?" Ariana asked.
Sunny got the ice cream, she returned back but couldn't find the girls anywhere. She searched for hours until the ice cream began to melt. She eventually threw it in the dumpster.
"Where could they have gone?" She asked herself. She ended up in a talent show, where girls were busy singing, She stayed there for an hour.
Someone walked passed her, this person was completely covered. The person's fragrance seemed family. Then she recalled the guy that help her in the restaurant had the same fragrance.
She rushed to meet the guy but his steps hastened. Sunny chased after him but he was too fast. She was too focused on the guy that she didn't see a golf cart coming in full speed. It hit her causing her to fly over a cookie booth.
Sunny felt immense pain but she had to endure. People rushed to her aid, including the golf cart driver. "Are you alright?" He asked. "I'm fine" Sunny replied. Sunny watched as the guy tried to approach her back he suddenly stopped and disappeared into the crowd.
Sofia ran away. Audrey and Ariana searched for her. They found her with Sunny who was bleeding already. "I searched everywhere for you guys" Sunny said. "We were worried about you" Ariana said.
"Now we shall return to the hospital?" Audrey said. "Yeah" Sunny said softly. Sunny was admitted to the same hospital as before, Audrey handled the bills. "Wait, why's the bill so high?" Ariana asked.
"It doesn't matter as long as she gets better" Audrey said. Ariana turned to Sunny. "Why didn't you tell us when you felt the pain?" Ariana asked. "I didn't want you to worry"
"You stupid thing, we're more worried about you now" Ariana said. "It's fine, the good thing is that she's getting treatment" Audrey said. Sunny smiles at Ariana. "You have work tomorrow right?" Sunny asked.
"Yes, I wish I could stay with you a little longer" Ariana said. "But you'll see us when you return from work aunty bear" Sofia said. Sunny chuckled. "That's true, I'll have to miss you even more" Ariana said.
The next morning, Ariana returned to work. She handled the documents she couldn't finish the previous day. "Ariana, I was worried about you" Carl said. "I had something to take care of" Ariana said. "That reminds me, Mr Roberto sent for you" Kate said. Ariana sigh.
"I'll be on my way" Ariana said. She made her way to the office, she knocked gently on the door before entering. "Good morning sir, you sent....." She paused when she saw Jessica sitting beside Roberto.
"Ariana I've been worried sick about you" Jessica said as she ran towards Ariana. Ariana could only force a smile. "That's nice of you miss Jessica" Ariana said. "That's Mrs Jessica to you" She corrected.
"I'm so sorry, where are my manners? Mrs Gonzalez, thank you for your concern" Ariana said. That name sent an uneasy feeling down Roberto's throat. "Jessica leave my office" Roberto said. "But...." Roberto shot her a death glare.
Jessica immediately left the office. Roberto walks up to Ariana but she unconsciouslly took few steps backwards. "We're not married" Roberto said. Ariana gave a nervous laugh. Ever since the incident she saw Roberto threatening Jessica she has been terrified of him.
"Your personal life has nothing to do with me sir. I'm only here because you sent for me" Ariana said in a polite manner. Roberto paused for a second, he had no idea why that came out of his mouth.
"Are you afraid of me?" He asked. "No sir I'm not scared of you" Ariana said trying to assure herself. Roberto tried reaching for her hands but she flinched. "If that would be all sir I'd be in my office" She tried to run but he pulled her and pinned her against the wall.
"Sir you're hurting me" Ariana struggled to break free. He grabs both her hands pins them to the wall. "Ever since that night you've been avoiding me. You just pretended like nothing happened. You were the one who was all over me that night now you act like it never happened" Roberto said.
"Mr.... Roberto..... I... Don't know what you're talking about.... Let go of me" Ariana said. "Why are you flooding my mind like this?" Roberto pulled her close but there was a knock on the door. "Mr Roberto, your brother is here to see you" Carl said. "Tell him to leave"
Ariana tried to break free, she even tried to make a sound but Roberto quickly covered her mouth. "Big bro I ain't leaving here until I talk to you" Ferdinand said. Roberto sighs in frustration. He looks at Ariana who was terrified to death.
"I apologize for this, there's a bathroom by the corner go get dressed" Roberto said. Ariana walked to the bathroom in a daze. She got to the bathroom and sat on the toilet seat.
Roberto arranged his shirt, he quickly sat on his chair. "Come in" He said with a calm tone. "Bro I just saw Jessica outside what is she doing here? Ohh have you guys finally fixed the wedding date? When am I going to hold my grandchildren?" Ferdinand said.
"Shut up Ferdinand" Roberto said. "Why? Are you calling off the wedding? It's about time" He asked. "What are you doing here?"
"Aren't I allowed to come see my big brother again?" Ferdinand said. "I have a lot of work to attend to" Roberto said. Jessica walked into the conversation. "Ferdinand? You didn't tell me you were coming" Jessica said.
{What is she talking about? Didn't you just make a nasty comment about me some minutes ago?} "I must have misplaced your number" He said with a smug smile on his face. "Where is Ariana?" Jessica asked. "She left my office a while ago" Was all Roberto could say.
"So bro where would you like to go? You know I've been meaning to take you to the Atlantic ocean or maybe Indianapolis someday" Ferdinand said. Roberto remained silent.
"Where's the bathroom I need to take a piss" Ferdinand said. Roberto was feeling anxious about Ariana being locked up in the bathroom and his brother seeing her in there.
"Leave my office now" Roberto said. "But I gotta take a piss man" Ferdinand said. "Leave now" Roberto said. "He's talking to you bitch" Ferdinand said. "The both of you get out" Roberto said. {If disgrace and shame had a face it would be me right now} Ferdinand thought.
They left the office, Roberto sprung up from his seat. He knocked on the door. "Ariana are you there?" He asked gently. There was no response. "I'm coming in"
He entered the toilet, Ariana was seated on the ground. She had her face buried in-between her legs. He slowly approaches her.
"Ariana?" He called again but still the same thing, silence spread across the room. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that..... I don't know why I couldn't control myself" Roberto said. He tried to touch her hair but she flinched again.
{SHIT WHAT HAVE I DONE?} He thought. Ariana slowly stood up, ignoring Roberto completely. Her eyes were red and swollen. "Ariana please hear me out"
She paused in her tracks, trying to know his excuse besides he's still her boss and she's his employee. "Don't distance yourself from me. Don't avoid me, I don't want you to be scared of me. Please I beg you" Roberto said. Ariana left the room without a single word.
"Goddamnit, you couldn't control your fucking urge for one second. Now you've scared the poor girl to death. How is she supposed to function at this rate? Why did I loose control? I must have been out of my god damn mind" Roberto said.
Ariana left the building, she decided to quit her job then and there. She went to the hospital to see Sunny, thankfully she met Audrey and Sofia were in the room with Sunny. "Is everything alright?" Sunny asked in concern. "Why wouldn't It be?"
"Well for starters your eyes are red and puffy and you're not at work, so you tell me if that's your definition of everything being alright" Audrey said. "Is everything alright Ariana?" Sunny asked again.
Ariana looks at the nurse in the room. "Can you please take Sofia outside for a minute?" "Sure" The nurse said with a smile.
"Sofia I need to show you a koala downstairs" The nurse said. "What is that?" Sofia asked. "A giant teddy" Sofia followed the nurse. Ariana immediately collapsed to the ground. "What's wrong?" Audrey rushed to Ariana while Sunny tried to sit up.
"Sit back" Audrey said to Sunny. Ariana hugged Audrey so tight. "He.... I...." Was all Ariana could say. "Use your words" Sunny said. "Roberto... He tried to rape me"
"What?" Sunny and Audrey asked in unison. "He said something about me being all over him but I swear I don't remember" Ariana broke down in tears. "Did he rape you?" Audrey asked.
"No.... But when I looked into his eyes, he looked like a mindless demon. If Carl hadn't knocked he would have....." Sunny stood up from the bed and sat down beside Ariana.
"For the first time in a long time I was actually scared for my life" Ariana said. "I see no reason why you would return to work tomorrow" Audrey said. "I agree with Audrey on this one"
Ariana looks at Sunny. "You're one to talk, weren't you the one who got hurt because of her job?" Ariana asked. "At least my boss didn't try to take advantage of me" Sunny said.
"Will you two cut it out? You need to be reasonable about this. This issue is a sensitive one and it's not to be taken lightly" Audrey said. "Sorry" Sunny said softly.
"I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should return to the office because I saw him threatening his fiancee the other day. He said he would kill her and make it look like an accident. What if he kills me?"
"Relax I'm no sure he is going to kill you but I suggest we get you another job" Sunny said. Audrey hugged the both of them tightly. {If Melissa was here she would know how to handle it} Audrey thought.
Back at the office. Roberto had a meeting with a Mafia boss of another country in his office. When the meeting was over he sat quietly replaying what happened earlier. Carl knocked on the door and entered the office.
"Mr Roberto the shipment for the next vehicles from Germany has been postponed for month" Carl said. "Why are the one tell me? Where's my secretary?" Roberto asked. {Is she avoiding me?} Roberto asked himself.
"Oh Rita went on a break" Carl said. "Not her, where's Ariana?" Roberto asked. "I don't know what happened but a couple of hours ago she packed all her belongs and left the building" Carl said. "WHAT?!! WHY DIDN'T YOU INFORM ME?!!" Roberto yelled.
"I'm sorry sir but I didn't think I was supposed to inform you about that" Carl said. "You dumb motherfucker" Roberto cussed out loud. Carl stood there dumbfounded. "Get out of my office"
{What the fuck have I done? Why couldn't I control myself? Now I screwed up and now she's never coming back} Roberto ran his fingers through his hair. He picked up his phone and called Arturo his right hand man.
"Yes boss" Arturo said from the other end of the line. "I want you to track someone down" Roberto said. "Who could that be?" He asked. "A girl named Ariana she works in my company"
"Boss that's just little information, I wouldn't be able to locate like that" Arturo said. "Find her immediately" Roberto said with authority. "Yes boss" Roberto ends the call.
