The moon hung low in the night sky, its silvery light bathing the bustling city streets. A cool breeze swept through, carrying the faint fragrance of blooming jasmine. Amid the noise of honking cars and chatter, Amina, a shy girl from Africa with ebony skin and a face dotted with pimples, walked nervously, clutching her books. Her dream of studying abroad had brought her to Korea, but fitting in had not been easy.
That evening, she found herself walking through a narrow street when her foot slipped on a stray pebble. Before she could hit the ground, a strong arm caught her. Startled, she looked up and met the gaze of a handsome Korean boy with jet-black hair and sharp, almond-shaped eyes.
"Are you alright?" his voice was soft, almost musical.
Amina nodded, unable to speak. Her heart raced, not from fear, but from something unfamiliar—a strange warmth.
Just then, another boy, identical in every way, called out from a distance. "Hyun-woo! We're going to be late!"
The boy who had caught her, Hyun-woo, glanced at his twin brother and then back at her. "Take care," he said with a smile before waving and running off to join his brother.
Amina stood there, her mind a whirl of confusion and emotions. What had just happened?
