Days passed, but Amina couldn't shake the memory of the brief encounter with the boy who had saved her from falling. His warm smile and gentle eyes had etched themselves in her mind. She hadn't even caught his name, yet his presence lingered like a soft melody in her heart.
At the university, life was as hectic as ever. Between lectures, assignments, and navigating the unfamiliar culture, Amina barely had time to think. But fate had other plans.
One sunny afternoon, Amina sat in the campus library, engrossed in her studies, when a familiar voice broke her concentration.
"Hey, aren't you the girl from the other night?"
Startled, she looked up to find not one but both twins standing before her. Hyun-woo and his brother, Hyun-min, were identical, but there was a subtle difference in their demeanor. Hyun-woo had a calm, composed aura, while Hyun-min's mischievous grin spoke of his playful nature.
"I-I think so," Amina stammered, her cheeks flushing.
Hyun-min chuckled. "Hyun-woo wouldn't stop talking about you. He said you looked lost that night."
Hyun-woo nudged his brother, a soft scowl on his face. "Ignore him. Are you okay? I mean, after the fall?"
"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you," Amina replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
For reasons she couldn't explain, the twins' presence made her feel self-conscious. She felt out of place, her insecurities bubbling to the surface. Yet, there was something comforting about Hyun-woo's concern.
"Good. By the way, I'm Hyun-woo, and this is Hyun-min," he introduced, extending his hand.
"Amina," she replied, shaking his hand timidly.
From that moment, a connection began to form. The twins would occasionally stop by to chat, their lively banter bringing laughter into Amina's otherwise solitary life. Slowly, she began to open up, sharing snippets of her world and dreams.
