Chapter 27 - C27 - Family

As Luke opened his front door, he shouted. "I'm hooooooome."

He was greeted with the sight of his mother cooking alongside a blonde-haired, short woman.

"Leiva! You made it!"

He ran over and gave his sister a hug. Putting her aside a moment, he frowned. "Aren't you supposed to salute your superiors when they walk in a room?"

His sister punched his arm. He deserved it, so he didn't really mind much. "I'm being serious, you know."

She gave him a dead glare.

"Come on sis, you can't be THAT mad at me. Check it out! I even got you a matching sword." He handed her the scabbard holding the dragon sword.

"You fight with two swords, right? This is the matching set piece for your Phoenix Sword."

"The only catch is, I promised to bring it with me to Planet Kreus first before I hand it over, so you might have to wait a bit. You can practice with it tonight, though."

His sister seemed to brighten a bit as she caressed the green sword.

"So, are you staying here with us, or are you getting your own place? We're pretty close to the bridge if you'd like to get there faster."

"How'd you know I'm working at the Bridge?"

"EX Pilot perk, top-of-the-line Navis. Meet Battalion. Battalion, my sister."

[Nice to meet you, 'Bratty sister from another mister who pissed her pants and kissed her blister on yet another dissed hurt mister.']

The room was silent. "So… You like to rhyme, do you?" Mia Jaywalker's voice came deadly low from across the table.

Luke picked up his tray and made a run for it as he dodged four flip flops and paper napkin speed folded into a plane.

Luckily, he made to his room without spilling his noodles. Otherwise, he told himself, otherwise, there would be problems.

He finished his food in solitary before starting on his work. He created cards and strengthened his original card. With his upgrade in Soul Power, his card creation speed was greatly increased. Opposed to the former 120 energy points, he was now at 958.

As soon as he advanced 42 more points, he would be able to produce another spirit embryo, and his plans were solidified.

Smiling happily to himself, he changed into his pajamas and passed out on his bed.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, two women discussed their feelings. "Were we too hard on him?" Mia asked her daughter.

"No, I think he took it just as lightly as we did. He's probably exhausted after a super long day. We should probably give him space."

"Yeah, we probably should."

It was at this moment that the two each received a special notification on their holos.

[Breaking news: Calling to all citizens of the Blabobah Star System. All five planets have today announced and crowned a new ruler. We can only thank the heavens. Thank you for reading this notification from the Blabobah Major News Network.]

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa?!"

The two women screamed as they began to beat down his door. As he groggily rose, he walked over to the door. "What's going on?" He asked as his groggy brain tried to recall reality.

"Why!" *Thwap* "Didn't!" *Thwap* "You!" *Thwap Thwap* "Tell!" *THWAP* "Your!" *THWAP* "MOOOOOTHEEEERRR!" **THWAP THWAP THWAP THWAP THWAP THWAP THWAP** "About!" *Thwap* "Such!" *Thwap* "A!" *Thwap* "Momentous!" *Thwap* "Occasion!!!!!!!"

Out of breath, she dropped the flip flop to the floor.

His groggy brain slapped straight into reality, and not far off from true congnizance, he muttered stupidly, "Sorry, mom, it was honestly more of a spur of a moment thing…"

Mia and Leiva Jaywalker were speechless. Was this truly their Luke? Spur of the moment? Ruler of their entire Star System?

No, it couldn't be…
