Chapter 84 - Genesis Of The Titan

───「 Human POV 」───

Steel-like trees, tinged with an otherworldly blue, thrived across the mountains, painting the rolling hills in striking shades of azure and obsidian. Fresh sprouts emerged from what had been scorched earth days earlier, and strange herbivores with armored bodies frolicked through fields of new growth.

When these creatures occasionally bumped against tree trunks, they startled bizarre birds perched above, causing them to flap their wings and take flight in panicked formations.

Dr. Eleanor Reed adjusted her binoculars, her hands trembling slightly. "These... these aren't native species. They're not even recognized taxonomies."

A small creature resembling a hybrid between cricket and snake, covered in iridescent scales, observed its surroundings with apparent curiosity, seeming unaccustomed to its new body. It moved with hesitant jerks, testing its limbs as if they were foreign appendages.

In nearby streams, fish unlike any known species played in the currents. They appeared as though they had traveled through time from prehistoric oceans hundreds of millions of years ago—bizarre creatures adorned with protective shells and possessing multiple eyes that gleamed in the sunlight.

"They're like nothing in the fossil record," whispered Dr. Yamamoto, the paleobiologist. "It's as if evolution took a completely different path."

Several mounds appeared in the ground, and small insects resembling golden beetles emerged. With methodical precision, they carefully placed excavated soil beneath growing plant shoots.

Forests and streams, sky and land—all transformed.

Brand-new life proliferated where only days ago had been a green wilderness. What was once merely a few thousand animals had multiplied exponentially, reaching what observers estimated to be millions of new organisms.

Because beneath the roots of trees, new life sprouted continuously. Because some of the original animals had voluntarily undergone metamorphosis, transforming into thousands of new beings serving different ecological roles.

Military drones captured footage of a stag's body decomposing into various strange life forms within hours, and a female rabbit's body sprouting a protective shell entirely different from its original form.

"It's not death," Dr. Reed realized with dawning horror. "It's transformation."

Every creature that had bowed before the presence of what scientists now called the "Godzilla pathogen" either decomposed into countless different life forms or underwent dramatic biological restructuring.

───「 GODZILLA POV 」───

As transformation reshaped its massive form, Godzilla witnessed these cascading changes spreading outward from its presence.

Initially, there was hesitation—why had its evolution caused the apparent death of some creatures? Was this destruction necessary for creation?

However, in this moment of uncertainty, Godzilla perceived voices—countless voices from the surrounding life forms.

Some were pure and calm, accepting.

Some were frightened and exhausted, having fled human hunting for generations.

Some feared the new world humans had created, completely unsure how to adapt with instincts developed for a vanishing wilderness.

And some were simply confused, having lost companions and tribes due to human expansion, escaping alone, their bewildered voices crying out for belonging.

So you all seek rebirth?

You all desire a new world? A place where you and your companions can find sanctuary?

Godzilla understood, and through this understanding, countless new lives were born.

The sound of newly-formed creatures running across freshly transformed land.

The sound of alien trees growing, basking in the sunlight that had nourished Earth for billions of years.

Old life advancing toward a new existence. They were arriving in this inclusive ecosystem from a world where they could no longer find shelter.

New life thriving in a new nature—the promise Godzilla made being fulfilled with each passing moment.

This was what it meant to be "nature."

Godzilla understood all the thoughts of living things.

Godzilla comprehended all their joys and sorrows.

I am them.

And they are me.

Godzilla became the gentle breeze sweeping over mountains.

Godzilla became the sea creating rhythmic ripples.

Godzilla became the ever-flowing stream.

Godzilla became the clouds drifting across the sky.

In this moment, Godzilla was everything—nature itself embodied.

If it desired, Godzilla could easily create devastating hurricanes.

The mountain-like titan set the wind's currents vibrating, and amidst the rustling forest, a small whirlwind beneath Godzilla's massive form lifted several bizarre lizards, carrying them skyward.

Then, in an open clearing, Godzilla allowed the gentle wind to soften. In the amazed eyes of these small creatures, they were slowly lowered back to the ground.

A burnt, lifeless hillside suddenly collapsed.

It split open, burying charred soil underneath while exposing fresh, moist earth, allowing airborne spores to thrive upon it.

A gentle vortex formed in a nearby stream, and newly-born fish regarded it with hesitation.

Their previous terrestrial existence made them somewhat awed by water's movement. But since they had already changed so dramatically, why not embrace this new element?

Tentative tails touched the flowing current, and they felt a pleasant sensation ripple through their new bodies. The fish immediately abandoned their reservations and played around the small vortex, their movements becoming increasingly confident.

Godzilla sensed both their excitement and their previous hesitation.

So you haven't died after all.

Godzilla's consciousness perceived the voices—voices of all living things.

Voices of stars.

I can hear and understand.

With this realization, Godzilla opened its eyes.

It was time to continue what remained unfinished.

───「 Human POV 」───

"Movement detected!" shouted Lieutenant Commander Davis, pointing at the satellite feed. "It's... it's moving!"

Opening massive eyes that glowed like blue supernovas, Godzilla Earth surveyed the transformed world before it.

With a colossal body dwarfing mountains, the titan moved for the first time in three days, breaking through the soil and pulling legs that had rooted deep within the crust.

Godzilla Earth's immense feet sank into the soil, compressing it instantly. The ordinary earth could no longer support such incredible weight.

Its feet plunged tens of meters downward, finally coming to rest upon bedrock with sufficient load-bearing capacity.

"My God," whispered General Morrison, watching the live feed from the command center. "How big is that thing now?"

The titan's dark-green body—now representing the birth of an entirely new world—was fully exposed to the atmosphere. Godzilla's dorsal fins appeared broader and more massive than before, jutting skyward like ancient monuments.

This new incarnation was substantially larger and heavier than its previous form, with head and body proportions that had grown significantly during metamorphosis.

Its body was more massive, covered with layered, plate-like structures that gave it an almost botanical appearance. Combined with its greenish integument, observers couldn't help but realize this was not merely a creature—it was a living mountain.

"Is it an optical illusion?" asked Dr. Reed, removing her glasses to wipe them clean. "It seems to have transcended the boundary between organism and... something else entirely."

Godzilla no longer appeared to be merely a living being but...

A phenomenon.

Godzilla had become a completely new force of nature—not just physically enhanced, but fundamentally transformed.

It represented something unprecedented: the master, creator, and maintainer of an entirely new ecosystem.

It was ecology incarnate. It was nature given form and purpose.

And now, this nature would destroy anyone or anything that threatened its emerging world.

Godzilla Earth looked skyward, its massive body beginning to pulse with energy. Radiation emanated from its entire form in waves that distorted the air.

External power radiation activated at full capacity!
