Cillian's gaze returned to Shantel. "Ms. Hale, do we have an agreement?"
Shantel's lips curved slightly as if she found the entire negotiation amusing. She tilted her head, studying him through narrowed eyes, letting the silence stretch just long enough to make him uneasy.
"Two days, Mr. Rhys," she replied at last. "Not a moment longer."
Cillian let out a sigh of relief and nodded curtly. "Understood."
But Shantel wasn't finished. Her eyes glinted with mischief as she added, "However, I have a condition."
The spark in her voice instantly got Cillian on tenterhooks. He didn't trust that tone at all as it reminded him of their interactions at the club especially when Shantel was about to deal her trump card.
What shit has his sister gotten herself into with this sly woman?
"For those two days," he heard her say. "Your sister will resume here in the mall. As one of my carryout assistant."
