Lorne forced himself to perk up. "Up ahead is the place we found on the first day—the spot where we ambushed the red dragon. Word is, the dragon's corpse is still there. I don't know if the other three are nearby, but let's go take a look."
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned to head out. But Ava hesitated.
Those three teammates of his were already dead. And the dragon? There was no way it was dead—if it were, the game would've marked the quest as failed. Which meant that so-called dragon corpse up ahead was probably just another one of Bloodclaw's lies. Honestly, it might be smarter to skip all this and head straight for that glowing yellow point on the map.
Lucien noticed the change in her expression. "Don't worry," he said. "Most of Bloodclaw's units have already withdrawn. The squad we ran into earlier was one of their elites. Even if there are a few stragglers left behind, they won't be a threat to us."
