Chapter 4 - A Dream..?

"The sky?" He muttered as he saw the looming white sun within the clear blue azure sky.

The wind rushed by his body.

The first thing he noticed was hish black jacket flailing in the air as he made his descent.

The second thing he noticed was that someone was gripping his hand and screaming as they fell but still in a daze he couldin't make out what they were saying.

"A dream?" He muttered

He kept free falling his body now tilting down and his feet going towards the sun and his head now facing down.

Everything was slightly not right to him as if he truly was in a dream and as he kept falling making his way towards the cloud right before they passed through.

They stopped.

He reoriented himself and stepped on the cloud.

"You as well."

The now frozen in the air asian brunette moved her body and also stepped upon the cloud.

"What the…"

Azadi looked at her a bit this time, he was able to see her better but it still felt off as of everything he was seeing was from the corner of his eye that his brain made up to fill in the space.

But from what he could tell she has slightly wavy brown almost auburn hair going decently down perhaps middle back or a little shorter. She had white skin which had the slightest hint of a tan, just the slightest to it.

She seemed to be saying things to home but they simply sounded like mumblings.

He looked around a bit at the serene place they were, on a large white cloud and a endless clear sky with only a singular light source helping it show off its beauty and even though he knew the seen infront of him was beautiful it still didn't seem right to him.

"Perhaps going to the ground.." he muttered under his breath.

He had now began holding her hand instead of the other way around.

She stood there for a second waiting for the boy infront of her to do an action.

That was then when he pulled her towards himself and they began descending once more.

"AAAHHH"

She began yelling as they both began falling down.

'This is.. amazing'

The feeling he felt was phenomenal, not that of euphoria or fun but that of thrill but not too much, it was a serene feeling.

He began slowing their descent but as he did that and was about to land when they were above the tree lines he began coughing.

He looked down at his hand and felt dizzy.

It was his blood covering his hand, an alarming amount if anyone else saw it but to him he didn't feel any pain.

But as he coughed the slowed descent began hastening once more no longer under his control and they both fell into a small clearing within the forest onto a bush with snow covering it.

The thorns pricked him and hurt and scratched him as he tried to get up but then put his head back down and sighed.

'So it wasn't a dream…'

"Mind getting off of me?"

The girl quickly jolted up and clamored off of him and out of the bush and patted herself off.

"Yeah s- sorry about that haha.."

She helped Azadi from the bush and suprisingly with her help he wasn't scratched or pricked by the bush which was suprising. It was as if it had avoided him as he got up but that's simply ridiculous.

He got up from the bush and patted himself off of the snow off of himself.

"So you have any idea of what's happening?"

The girl infront of him turned up to him confused.

"What? We are ignoring the fact you just made us step on clouds and slow our fall?"

Azadi stood there for a moment a collected his thoughts.

Re

his head hurt no, his head was pounding.

"Are you okay? Your nose is bleeding."

He brought up his already bloodied hand to his nose and saw it become more red.

"I'm.. alright."

He wiped himself off with his white shirt now stained red.

He felt so tired but at the same time he felt too uncomfortable to slumber

"You speak really good Korean by the way that makes things way easier for me, anyways my name is Yeom Jin-Hwa what's your name?"

Now sitting on a decently sized rock his eyes downcast he looked up at her in confusion.

'Korean? I'm speaking English though?'

"My name is Azadi."

His breaths were labored and tired.

'What wrong with this guy? Why is he so bloody? Could it be that when he slowed our fall this was the cost? Wait how did he even slow our fall he never answered that. Maybe he doesn't know? He seems… well not in the best condition right now I'll ask more later plus he seems as confused as me.'

Then her attention diverted from Azadi and went back to her hip.

She noticed when she patted herself off but there was a brown pouch on her hip.

She grabbed the pouch and untied it from a small hole that had appeared on her and opened it.

She looked back up at the boy, Azadi who seemed to be in daze with glazed over eyes.

She then looked at the contents within the bag and took everything out.

There were five old rusty looking coins, two large loaves of bread, and a crystal lens whose rim is decently thick and has two jade snake's illustrated within the rim wrapping around it, with the rest of the rim looks to be the same material as the coins and besides this lense there was also a canteen that contained fresh water which she took a sip of.

'He also has a pouch… wonder if he got anything different.'

She walked up to Azadi who was still resting ontop of the gray stone.

"Hey what's in your pouch?"

Azadi looked up at her in a momentary daze before realizing he had a pouch as well on his hip.

He stammered for a moment before replying.

"U- uh yeah let me check"

His hands missed the pouch at first before successfully grabbing it, untying it and opening it and spilling out the contents.

'Ahh so he got the same stuff as well.'

"Drink from the canteen you seem like you need it."

Azadi nodded and drank greedily from the canteen leaving only half of its water.

"Augghh thank god I needed water."

Jin-Hwa laughed at this remark before sitting next to him on the large stone since there wasn't anywhere else to sit down.

'Hmm it look like the pouches hold way more stuff than they look like they should.'

Azadi then swayed before she grabbed him steadying him.

'Well I can't leave him he saved me that would just be a jerk move gah guess I'll stay till he's alright before we try to get out of this forest.'

She looked around the clearance which was filled with patches of snow and sighed.
