Cecilia frowned. Before she could say a word, Rick Morrison weakly said, "Frank, don't make things difficult for Cecilia."
His lips were pale, and he was so thin that he looked unrecognizable.
He barely could sit up and had no strength, his arms trembling and weak.
Looking closely at his facial features, he faintly resembled Cecilia.
Cecilia hurriedly helped him up, concerned as she said, "Uncle Rick."
He scanned her up and down, his eyes turning red. "Cecilia, you can speak now, and your voice is just like your mother's. That's great."
His voice trembled as he continued, "You've suffered outside all these years."
At that moment, her stepmother Mariah spoke up, "Cecilia, your uncle has been worried about you all these years. You wouldn't want him to die just because we can't afford treatment, right?"
