"Jin Jang, Scott Kwon, Hope Park, Ivan Park... I already told you, I'm under someone now, and the God Dogs are history. Are you sure you still want to follow me?" Johan asked, raising an eyebrow as his brown mullet danced in the wind.
"Yes, like we said, we wish to follow you!" Jin Jang replied, bowing deeply with his hands clasped together, the others mimicking his gesture.
Johan stared at them, perplexed, trying to grasp their reasons for wanting to join him at Ryūjin-kai, despite the God Dogs' dissolution two weeks prior.
"Alright then, welcome to Ryūjin-kai," Johan said, his voice low, as they all bowed in unison.
As the current second-in-command, Shinsei had tasked Johan with recruiting exceptionally talented fighters, and he was delivering.
In reality, Scott, Hope, and Ivan had been looking for a way out of the God Dogs. But when Johan suddenly disbanded the group, they were left with a void. That was when Jin Jang appeared out of nowhere.
"Are you guys dumb?" Jin Jang asked, his voice laced with incredulity. "Don't you know who Johan Seong joined? He's the one who beat Johan up without even breaking a sweat! Johan didn't even land a hit, and this guy is even stronger than Gun!"
Scott, Hope, and Ivan exchanged stunned glances, their faces etched with surprise. They had heard stories about Gun, the legend who had inspired Johan to start the God Dogs. But to hear that Johan's new employer was even more powerful? That was a game-changer.
Without hesitation, the three agreed to follow Jin Jang to Johan's new organization. Now, as they trailed behind Johan, they wore broad grins on their faces, eager to meet the rest of the team.
"Let me introduce you guys to the rest," Johan said, leading them deeper into the Ryūjin-kai's domain.
Meanwhile, in the art department of J High School, a group of students surrounded a handsome teenager wearing sunglasses. "Lol, you're so funny, Shinsei!" Zoe Park exclaimed, her black bangs framing her face as she rested her arm on Shinsei's shoulder.
The other three girls in the group pouted, noticeably Yui Kim, who had been engrossed in her phone. She suddenly stood up, marched over to the seat beside Shinsei, and pushed the girl originally sitting there away. Yui plopped down, crossed her arms over Shinsei's, and rested her head on his shoulder, staking her claim.
Zoe's eyes narrowed, and she shot Yui a sideways glance, but Shinsei merely chuckled and wrapped his arm around Yui's shoulders, pulling her close. The scene was a familiar one, with Shinsei effortlessly commanding attention and affection from his classmates.
"What's wrong, Yui?" Shinsei asked, noticing her snuggle deeper into his embrace.
"Nothing," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just wanted to hold you close." Her fingers traced a gentle pattern on his chest, as if marking her territory.
Shinsei chuckled inwardly, amused by Yui's possessive gesture. 'Does she think we're dating or something?' he wondered, shaking his head in silent amusement.
He continued his story, oblivious to Yui's imaginative scenario. "So, I walked to the store and asked the guy—"
Yui's eyes sparkled with a secret delight, lost in her own little world where she and Shinsei were a couple. The classroom faded into the background as she basked in the warmth of his presence.
Yui was a girl with a penchant for luxury, obsessing over designer bags and high-end makeup. Her dating criteria were simple: wealth and physical attractiveness. Luckily for her, Shinsei embodied both qualities. However, his carefree nature made him a magnet for other girls, which only strengthened Yui's resolve to claim him as her own.
For the past two weeks, Yui had been meticulously weaving a web of closeness around Shinsei, carefully manipulating their interactions to create an aura of intimacy. Her ultimate goal was to ensnare him, to make him hers alone, and she was willing to do whatever it took to achieve that.
Across the room, a black-haired boy watched Shinsei with a scornful gaze, his eyes flicking towards Mira, who was laughing along with the other girls as they listened to Shinsei's story.
'Tsk, fucking bastard!' Zack Lee seethed inwardly, his tongue clicking in annoyance. He couldn't help but feel a surge of resentment towards Shinsei, who seemed to effortlessly command the attention of everyone around him, including Mira.
"Shinsei, can we go get a drink from the vending machine outside?" Yui asked suddenly, her eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief.
Shinsei nodded, welcoming the chance to stretch his legs. As he stood up, Yui swiftly intertwined her arm with his, claiming him as her own.
As they walked out of the classroom, Shinsei was greeted by a chorus of hellos from fellow students. He smiled and returned the greetings, his relaxed demeanor earning him a reputation as the most laid-back senior in school – a feat he'd achieved in just two short weeks.
As they reached the vending machine, Yui's grip on Shinsei's arm tightened, and she deftly steered him into a secluded corner, away from prying eyes.
"What are you doing?" Shinsei asked, his neutral expression a mask for the surprise he felt.
Yui didn't respond. Instead, she leaned in, her lips brushing against the sensitive skin of Shinsei's neck. Shinsei's back pressed against the wall as Yui's kisses sent a shiver down his spine, catching him off guard.
"What the..." Shinsei's words trailed off as he froze, caught off guard by Yui's sudden advances. But Yui didn't hesitate, her lips continuing their gentle assault on his skin.
As she finally reached his lips, Shinsei's resistance crumbled. He felt himself getting swept away by the intensity of the moment, his senses overwhelmed by the sensation of Yui's lips on his.
Without realizing it, Shinsei found himself deepening the kiss, his arms wrapping around Yui's waist as he pulled her closer. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the passion of the moment.
