….
Arthur took in the sight of the hall. From everything he had managed to recall from Johnny Carter's memories, the events of the games were supposedly starting on the first day.
That was today.
He walked leisurely in the direction of the Headmaster's office, humming a quiet tune to himself.
There weren't any other people in the hallway, both professors and students alike were gathered at the hall, quietly awaiting the speech.
"Yes, but my sister...."
He was about to knock but stopped midway.
"....I'll be visiting her grave today, exactly a year is passing today so I'll have to...."
Apparently, there was already someone in the headmaster's office.
Even though the door was closed he was able to hear most of the discussion clearly.
Shortly after, the woman came out, shutting the door quietly behind him.
She was startled as she saw someone outside the door, but she quickly composed herself.
Her expression slowly morphed into disgust.
"Excuse me."
She said coldly.
Arthur stepped aside, and the woman walked past him.

Luckily, he was wearing his glasses currently, and it wasn't too hard to scan someone who had stood in front of him for five seconds.
"Really?"
What surprised him was the affiliation stat that she had, that too and the familiar name that he had seen a while ago.
"Brianna Rose."
He murmured again.
At this moment, Arthur didn't even need to check the affiliation stat to know who Brianna Rose was. He remembered her instinctively, almost as if he was the one that had not only raped but killed her himself.
Mid-thought, his hand unconsciously went to the doorknob and he opened the door.
"Arthur, you're just in time actually."
'She's the rape victim that I, no the spirit killed.'
He thought.
"Ma'am?"
He asked, realizing he was now in the director's office.
Unlike last time the Headmaster was seated at her desk, even the couch was gone.
"Professor, Ms. Vivienne is unable to give the speech today, so in her absence you'll have to give the speech today in her place."
The Headmaster explained with a thin smile on her lips.
"Okay."
He accepted it easily, almost as if he didn't even need to think it through.
"But, isn't Ms. Vivienne a professor at the Academy?"
He asked.
It was a dumb question considering that he should have already known about it.
The Headmaster quickly composed herself.
"Yes."
She finally answered, but her delay was justified due to the fact that she had not expected Arthur to answer her so quickly.
The Arthur that had been a professor wouldn't have accepted so easily.
As far as he knew, the reason why she couldn't give it today was because of her sister; the very same sister that Arthur had supposedly killed, for the reason that a year had passed since her death.
Even though he did not know the reason, it wasn't too hard for him to guess that if she left the duty would be assigned to him.
For one, the misdeeds he had done weren't too hard for anyone to dig up, it made sense that the staff of the Lavender Academy would also know of it. They also knew that Vivienne's sister was Brianna.
If for any reason Vivienne had to take a leave because of her sister, any duty that she had which could be done by him would fall onto Arthur's shoulder.
Solely because he was the cause.
There was absolutely no use arguing to "maintain character" because in the end it would fall under his shoulders.
"Would you mind giving me the speech she was supposed to say?"
"Sure, here it is."
She took a piece of paper from her desk and handed it to him.
Arthur silently took it and glanced at its contents.
"This is quite bland."
He murmured to himself but took it regardless.
"Make sure to give the speech as soon as the time reaches 11."
Arthur listened as she drawled on with her instructions and Arthur listened to most of them, though there were some times when he didn't register her words.
He used his glasses to check the time, an accessory that was originally supposed to be used to tell both the time and date, now it could be used to accurately give the information of people.
10:30.
He had half an hour before he was to give the speech, it would be enough time to roughly cram something so bland and generic.
It was a feat that even an 11 year old would be able to do in a day.
When the headmaster was finally done he quietly left the office. Arthur had forgotten the reason he even came into the headmaster's office in the first place.
A random thought had appeared in his head.
'That affiliation stat, it has something to do with me.'
It was strange that both the Luther family and Vivienne both had 'affiliation', the Luther family was understandable since they were a well-known mafia family.
Vivienne on the other hand had nothing, and her only affiliation was her sister, the one which Arthur had supposedly defiled and killed.
Not nobility.
They were commoners.
'How the people they're affiliated with could affect me negatively, or something along those lines.'
He mused.
There was no reason to question his own reasoning.
If it wasn't that way, how come Celestine didn't have Arthur Vaelthorne as her affiliation? Or why didn't Adrian or the few noble children he had seen have their families as affiliations?
Arthur knew that his thinking was spot-on.
It was just a matter of what he could do with that information.
Unfortunately for him, he had no idea.
