"It's madam. She just had a seizure while watching the video. We need a doctor! Please h_" before she could finish speaking, the call was cut and Cassy looked at the dark screen with a dumbfounded expression. But that was only briefly before she hurriedly called Iris.
Unbeknownst to her, the moment that the secretary hung up the call, he turned to look at his boss, who was waiting for him to spill the beans. And the moment he revealed what happened, Xander stood on his feet as he coldly ordered, "Call the doctor and let's go back to the mansion!"
Several calls were made and cars could be seen driving towards the mansion, making the other clan members wonder.
"Why do I see the doctor's car going over there? Who is sick?"
"It can't be the clan leader. He is at the office."
"Then who is it?"
That was a question that got a lot of them curious and worrying. They could only watch as the cars sped to the mansion.
Meanwhile, in Gloria's room, Iris and Cassy stood a distance away as they watched Gloria, who wasn't in a good state. The both of them were whispering and wondering how Gloria even had such an illness.
There wasn't much that they could do except to wait for the doctor. Thankfully, there was a doctor always on standby in the complex, so it didn't take long before he came.
With the doctor around, he diagnosed that Gloria might indeed have epilepsy, but she needed to be checked further. Gloria had to be sent to the clan's clinic. After performing some first aid and putting an oxygen mask on her, she was gently carried to the car.
All the servants were worried and on their toes. If something happens to the guests, the clan leader would surely skin them alive.
Gloria was then brought down the mountain to the clinic and others, who became very curious about the patient, saw all these movements.
Gloria was wheeled into the clinic where she was quickly put on proper oxygen tank and IV fluids. The doctor and the nurses hurriedly drew blood, which was sent for testing. While that was happening, another nurse excused herself to the toilet and whilst inside, she took out her phone and made a call.
After a few rings, the call was answered and a lazy voice sounded through the speaker, [What is it? It better be important! I am tired as it can be!] The tone was not very pleasant but the nurse didn't seem to mind but had a smile as she answered.
"Miss, a woman just got sent to the clinic!"
[What does that have to do with me? Do we live in a world lacking women?] the other party mockingly responded, sounding irritated.
"No, it's not like that. She was brought from the clan leader's mansion. Cassy, Iris and Ian escorted her!" the nurse anxiously explained, her tone tinged with seriousness and the other party seemed to have understood the crux of the matter.
[What? Are you telling me that Xander is keeping a woman in the mansion?]
"Yes, if it wasn't for the sudden attack. We wouldn't know."
[How ….. anyway, keep an eye on her. I will look into the matter and see what's going on. I will not let any whore take what's mine!] The other party sounded very angry before hanging and the nurse's lips curled upwards in a smirk as she looked at the dark screen.
"It's going to be interesting!" her eyes lit up as she flushed the toilet before leaving to rejoin others.

Time seemed to fly very fast and before anyone knew it, two days had passed and Gloria remained unconscious. She hadn't woken up after fainting that day.
Instead of being admitted to the clinic, she was moved back to the mansion, where she was served dutifully without fail.
As for the people who wanted to find faults with her, they couldn't even see a single shadow of her. It made them furious, but at the same time, they didn't dare ask Xander lest they got caught.
On the third day that morning, the nurse wiped Gloria's body and checked that everything was in order before leaving the room.
The moment she left, Gloria, who had been sleeping motionless, began to move. Her eyelashes started fluttering as if they were butterfly wings. If one were to look closely, one could see that she was trying hard to open her eyes, and that was indeed the case.
Inwardly, Gloria was going crazy.
From the moment that she fainted until now, her mind was at work. She could hear everything that everyone around her was saying.
So, she knew perfectly about a lot. Even more than what she should know, and it got her thinking hard about how idiotic she had been all these years.
She still remembered what made her get that seizure.
'I have never slept with her!'
That was a confession that Gloria had never thought she would hear Simon saying in this life. What did he mean by that?
Whilst they might not have done anything above being intimate (hugging and kissing) when they were dating when they wedded, they surely did it.
On their wedding night, although she was drunk. She remembered clearly sleeping with him. When she woke up the next day, the sheets were dyed red and her body was so sore with a lot of ambiguous marks on her body.
They have been together for six years and although they weren't that active a lot when it comes to sex, she couldn't be mistaken. And yet she just had to hear Simon saying that she was a virgin. Then was she crazy for not knowing what was happening to her?
She felt that it was a joke at first, but having hours to herself, to just think about everything, it started coming back to her.
Most of the time when they were intimate, it was usually at night. She would always pass out before the deed was done, mostly because they would always drink wine. When she woke up the next morning, her body would be very sore.
Moreover, with all the kisses and hugs, how could she even think that nothing was done?
If he didn't touch her like that, it meant that he never loved her. Perhaps from the first day he was treating her as stock, ready to trade her for something else like he did this time.
While listening to those who visited her, Gloria wanted to wake up very early and avenge herself.
'It's a pity that her heart is this fragile, but I think it's for the best!'
'You don't think that she will hate you when she wakes up now that she knows?'
'Even if she hates me. It wasn't me who sold her, but her ex-husband. Moreover, I did her a favor by separating her from that bastard. She would be sold one way or the other if she continues being with him.'
'But ….'
'Haven't you seen that she was being manipulated all this time? Such a poor soul made me feel incompetent. Her eyes were so blinded that she even ….. anyway, it's not like I bought her to marry her. Her expertise is still something that I admire. I must have her.'
'But she will think that it was all for the body. Would she agree? She didn't listen to the rest of the video!'
'It doesn't matter. It's not like she can back out right now. We are talking about millions. Besides, if she knew about how good her family is, don't you think that she would work sincerely for me?'
Even in that state, Gloria was deadly curious about what Xander and his secretary were talking about. Especially about her family. From their tone, she had an inkling that they might be as bad as Simon. But how could that be?
When she thought about how she trusted Simon for so many years and yet he manipulated her left and right. And made her rely gravely on him. Gloria wanted to face him and ask him why he did so.
She just couldn't understand why he would treat her like that. They grew up together and knew each other so well. So, where did it go wrong?
Unfortunately, that wasn't something that she would know if she continued to be unconscious, so she worked hard to open her eyes.
After so much struggle, the hard work finally paid and her eyes snapped open.
She looked at the familiar room she had seen for a few days and then the machines which came with her, and smiled dejectedly, recalling how she was diagnosed to have epilepsy.
Her eyes narrowed murderously as she thought of the person who gave her this illness. If Simon hadn't suggested such crazy terms and conditions, and revealed that chaste bomb, perhaps she would never be found with epilepsy. But he just had to and treated her like a commodity.
Although the illness was treatable, every single day she knew that she had it, she was going to make Simon's life a living hell.
And she happens to know the perfect way to drive him crazy. However, would the other party agree to her suggestion?
Suddenly, she became sullen at the thought of being unable to exact her revenge and reduce this painful sore in her heart. As long as it remained there, she was afraid that she might die with a belly full of grievances and become a fierce and vengeful ghost.
She would rather avenge when she is alive than dead. When dead, she wants to rest in peace and wait for another lifetime and not otherwise.
Having such a train of thought, determination filled her eyes once again.
Without trying, how could she know?
The world had already crumbled.
What else did she have to lose?
