That was the deal.
Ji-hoon had taken them. One by one. Swallowed his doubt with every bitter capsule.
Now he saw things.
Not hallucinations. Manifestations.
That 'other him' now had weight. Breath. Presence.
They didn't speak like enemies anymore. They negotiated. Observed.
And now, at the end of it all—Su-yeon appeared. Not in dreams. Not behind glass.
She walked into the lawyer's chair, calm and composed.
"It's time," she said. Like she hadn't vanished for weeks. Like her sister hadn't died with her name in his mouth.
Ji-hoon stared. His voice low. "What exactly are we finishing?"
"The split. The source. Your father."
The original fracture.
Su-yeon laid out a file. Photos. Reports. Handwritten letters.
All leading to Yangpyeong.
"He's there," she said. "And he remembers everything."
Ji-hoon's head ached. Every path loops back to him.
"You want to replicate it," Ji-hoon murmured. "What they did to me."
Su-yeon didn't deny it.
"Not replicate. Refine."
Ji-hoon looked into her eyes. Cold fire. Conviction stronger than grief.
This wasn't revenge. It was a mission.
And Ji-hoon? He was the blueprint.
