"A car?" The hero association guard turned in the direction of the sounds, and his face turned stern as he clenched his fists. Soon, the rumbling stopped, and the guard was alert.
Suddenly, three men in wolf masks who donned grey overcoats and thick leather boots stepped through the mirage. The second they stepped past, the three leapt in a formation.
They all turned towards the guards, who raised his brow staring at them. He raised a hand and swept it in an arc, and an electrical surge swept across the ground to meet them.
They jumped — in perfect synchronisation — then all dashed forward. The guard clicked his tongue, cracking his neck and jumping to battle the trio, forgetting about Luke and Silas.
He grabbed one by the leg, spinning him around and throwing him to another. The two of them crashed into each other, and the coordination was broken, leaving one in formation.
"My name is Dexter of the Hero Associations' Silver Crow Faction." He started, pointing to the badge on his chest with the descending silver crow, "and you three are under arrest."
"Okay, Mr Dexter." The masked man raised up his hands, his baggy coat fluttering as he turned to the two who stood to their feet and followed suit, "We'll give up on our mission."
Dexter narrowed eyes suspiciously. He'd thought to sound the alarm if these guys were high-tier super villains, but he didn't even need to use any energy before they surrendered.
He approached the one in front of him and handcuffed the masked man with cuffs he'd kept in his pockets, watching as the other two faded into the shadows, "I noticed it, man."
"Sigh," the masked man sighed in surrender, allowing Dexter to drag him away. While they walked back, more people in overcoats wearing animal masks, sneaked past the guard.
"We should go." Silas, who'd been watching from their hiding spot, turned to Luke with a smirk. Luke nodded, and they sneaked in the shadows, keeping an eye on the other guys.
Back at the mirage, the guard took out a seat for himself and the masked guy, then they sat down. He stared at the intricately designed wolf mask, "Are you going to take that off?"
The masked man shook his head, and Dexter nodded in understanding.

Selena heard footsteps coming from above, hurried snapping her head in that direction, only to find Ice stepping down the staircase in a short loose nightgown, and Selena gawked.
"He said you shouldn't be walking…" she said in a small voice, staring as Ice walked to a couch and climbed it, all of these while she sat adjacent with eyes bulged with confusion.
"That was a few hours ago." Ice rolled her eyes, crossing her legs then reaching for her remote but as she bent over, her head spun and she grabbed the desk before tumbling over.
Selena watched as Ice grabbed the remote with one hand, and the side of her head with another, the confusion in her eyes settling as she relaxed, "You should take his good advice,"
"Yeah yeah. I know what I am doing, kid." Selena groaned as she relaxed her back in the couch and put on the TV, watching as a random program displayed, "What is your name?"
"Selena," the young girl replied, turning to stare at the screen, after a while, she turned to Ice, "Why would you leave your bed and come down here just to watch some television?"
"They have about six hours till dawn, and if anything bad happens I can see it from this screen," Ice explained, relaxing her back in the couch, "I just hope nothing weird shows up,"
There was a knock at the door, and both Ice and Selena turned to it. Ice shifted her aim to the door knob, and tapped a button on her remote, "I wasn't expecting any visitors here."
The door opened, and Ice tilted to the side to see who was standing there. It was a man with long blue hair, wearing a pair of dark shades, a pale red shirt and a pair of jean pants.

'This place, even at night, was bustling with people.' Silas frowned, looking from left to right without revealing himself. He guessed that most of them had one hidden superpower.
Luke kept his head even lower than Silas, and they moved in the darkness until they got to the main building of the heroes association head quarters, with numerous men on guard.
Silas turned to the other group, frowning to see that one of them had a camouflage skill that allowed them to get past the guards. He didn't have a skill like that so, "Luke, let's go."
He grabbed Luke, then dashed past the guards. All they felt was the breeze of someone being dragged along at such high speeds, but no one saw anything with their physical eyes.
Since the others wee able to sneak past with camouflage with not a single guard raising alarm, Silas guessed he could sneak past and none of them would've noticed him, probably.
They didn't enter through the front doors, and Silas took notice of this. He watched the group circle round the building, following them with Luke as they stepped into some door.
It stood by the side of the building, and seeing it, Silas finally understood how they got the guts to invade such a place. He waited until they were gone, before he followed them in.
If they had taken the front door — after believing they sneaked past the guards — then a few surprises would have been waiting for the group, and this allowed them to dodge those.
"Aren't we getting monitored?" Luke whispered into Silas' ears, watching as he walked to the door with both hands in his pockets, and he added, "We are not hidden like they are,"
They were using a camouflage technique and he wasn't. Silas smirked, shrugging before raising his leg to kick the strange door open, "Don't worry, Luke. It is all part of my plan."
A cold wind blew, scattering Silas' hair as he stared through the door before stepping inside. Luke shuddered as the cold wind drifted into his clothes before he went after Silas.
