Thud
Alexander collapsed from overexertion.
His body was not able to further prolong the abusive toil against his muscles.
His body seemingly throbbed in quick spurs of pain,
"huhuhu hfff!" Alexander's breathing was irregular and stiflingly fast
'I can't feel my body,'
His feet ached and blistered due to the ample running. The arms which connected with his torse felt numb,
fingers what were they again?
'Can I die now!' Alexander cried out within his mind
Any utterance or complaint Alexander had or made, was swiftly cut off by Evelyn.
But honestly, Alex didn't even find a purpose to voice such complaints anymore.
Why would he?
Each time he had opened his mouth he had inevitably ramped up the training intensity, t
There was no incentive.
It's been four long months since the compromise with Evelyn,
During this time, every moment of Alexander's waking hours has been consumed with nothing but relentless physical pain.
The nights felt long,
Food began to taste bland.
Tasteless even
Walking up felt more like a chore than everything.
He dreaded the morning.
One had to remember this type of routine was nothing short of foreign to Alex,
At first, just like many of us, Alexander thought that achieving physical strength would be an easy feat requiring minimal effort.
However, such a notion was quickly put to the test.
The types of people who would believe such delusion were those who lacked sound judgment and dwelt in their own realms of fantasy.
"did grant you permission to rest!" Evelyn bellowed with a scowl
Hearing the booming voice, Alexander immediately shivered in fear.
Shell shock had long since engraved itself when he heard such a tone.
To Alexander, this training was fucking barbaric and uncalled for.
For crying out loud this world had access to medicinal drugs which could limit a person from ever needing to exert effort for a desirable body.
This was of course an option, but it was frowned upon to embark on such a lazy path.
Although the immediate results were nothing short of extraordinary, the long-term repercussions were significant. That swift growth would inevitably slow down to the point where progress became unattainable.
So funnily enough, relying on such an approach would ultimately hinder a person.
Achieving power doesn't come with such easy fixes,
no mystical solutions,
no wonder drugs,
and no magical objects to guide the way.
If there were any such, they would have long since been abused and used.
Countless individuals tried, but each was met with a wall that forbade them access from continuing their path.
At the heart of it all only a will and the person held any matter.
If one isn't ready to invest everything they have, then what's the point of even dreaming about attaining sovereign power?
They might as well whisk the idea away at that point and kill themselves.
Will and dedication were the two things that hindered Alexander's path.
His will was weak, and his dedication was merely false lacking any genuine desire.
However such a situation would likely arise only if Alexander had been transmigrated within a body with minimal ties.
Fortunately, as he was now within Alex's body, Alexander was essentially handed two useful tools that could be utilized for his own growth.
Several moments passed and Evelyn's patience was not to be trifled with.
Annoyance
Pity
And utter bafflement tethered her mind.
This was the twentieth time Alex had fallen during the run!
Was it really that much of a challenge to sprint thirty miles!
Of course, it wasn't!
Even an aged man could do it with relative ease, but yet Evelyn bore witness to her son's own incompetence.
As Everlyn filled her mind with these types of thoughts Alex forced himself to provide a response.
"Ju-" As Alexander spoke tone was that of being horse and froggy due to the lack of moisture within his esophagus.
As such with each breath he made his throat irritated while becoming prone to coughing.
"Just give me a second to c-ollect my breath" Alexander expressed on the ground between wheezes.
"No such thing will happen in my presence," Evelyn replied with a deadpan expression as she swiped her white-haired bangs from her face tucking the loose strands of hair between her ears.
She, like Alexander, was also sprinting, but to her, this was more of a display of encouragement for Alexander if she so desired Evelyn had the capabilities to cross millions of miles within only a matter of hours.
"Stand up and continue the run," "You only have a measly two miles left," Evelyn voiced with a cold tone.
'The hell does she mean a measly two!?' Alexander thought between gritted teeth
Resting on his forearms, he felt the tracks' soft yet rubbery exterior prickle his skin.
Forcing his body to an elevated posture, Alexander raised his head to meet Evelyn's gaze.
"..."
Gulping, Alexander's mind was immediately plunged into turmoil as he perceived his mother's malice tone.
"Run," Evelyn's tone spoke length.
Without hesitation, Alexander's body detected the threat, and an overbearing fear overwealmed him. In Responding Alex's body shot up with a doseage of adrenaline.
It was either endureing this or further training!
To hell with such an Idea!
