It was a notification that Nicole's line is now active. I looked from my phone to an unremorseful Idris with a glare and he winked at me.
I thought of calling Nicole immediately but decided against it once I thought of what to tell her. I felt really guilty and I have Idris to thank for that.
"Are you going through with the board meeting or should I call it off?" Idris asked a long while later.
"We are having the board meeting. I need to know the culprit behind this propaganda," I replied. News of Nicole's pregnancy had spread like wildfire around the company and beyond so that rival companies have themselves fabricated the story into many versions.
