Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

We left the bar after a few more drinks, each of mine being poured onto her body and me licking it up. 'If it wasn't for the situation, I would've enjoyed this.' Afterward, she took me back to her place. Whether it was her main base or not didn't matter, all that mattered was that my world was spinning. The moment we entered the main house, I was greeted by the sight of lit candles and aroma diffusers scattered around. 'I have to go through a year of this?' Withholding a sigh, I let Mizuki gently lead me to her room.

"Dear~" My eyes shifted from the surroundings to her, where she wore a gentle kind smile. "I hope you don't mind the smell~"

I shook my head, offering what I hoped was a delirious smile to show that the drugs were working. "I love it... I feel..." I struggled to find the words, which were clear to Mizuki. She simply chuckled and ordered the blonde who had been following us to open the door and leave.

"Makes you feel complete?" Her words were like honey and if it weren't for the continuous small strain from Undying Spark, I might have fallen for her and her words. However, I smiled wider and nodded and she gave me a mirthful look in return.

"This is only the start, my dear~"

I nodded, and she directed me toward the massive bed. I noted that the smells were strongest there. "Take a seat, it won't bite~" I did as told and soon Mizuki joined me. She grabbed my arm and placed it between her breasts, just like before.

"Mmm~" She hummed, tilting her head with a thoughtful expression. "I hope you don't find it rude of me dear, but how old are you~?"

The words I said next weren't my own. "I'm... fourteen.."

The only sound in the room was the white noise of the diffusers. For a moment, there was complete clarity and I realized the jeopardy of the plan. 'I'll kill her while she's in shock and deal with—.'

She let out a quiet chuckle. I turned my head to look at her and I felt myself internally twitch. She looked at me like I was a piece of candy.

"My~ Looks like Onee-Chan here will have to look after you~"

Wha—' I was suddenly pushed down onto the bed and embraced by her as she laid next to me. She wrapped her arms around me, pulling my head between her soft mounds of flesh. She hummed as she stroked my head.

"Onee-Chan will make you forget about everyone who hurt you~"

I blinked, then shrugged internally. 'I guess this works better?' My eyes grew heavy as she continued humming a song. For a moment, I debated staying awake. 'Fuck it, I'll be fine.' With those thoughts, I surrendered myself to the dark embrace of sleep.

-

Waking up in a proper bed confused me for a moment before I remembered where I was. 'I've been too comfortable. I need to—'

Mizuki's soft voice cut off my thoughts as she entered the room from what I assumed was her dressing room. Next to her stood the blonde man, his eyes focused on the path ahead of him.

"Renard, be a dear and show my otouto around."

I watched as the man nodded and approached me while I sat up and stood.

"Sato-san, please follow me to the dressing room."

I gave a small nod, but just as I began to move, Mizuki gently grabbed my arm.

"My little otouto~" she purred, running her fingers along the curve of my ear before resting her palm against my neck. I felt something tighten and wrap around it.

I raised my hand to touch it and blinked in confusion as I felt the material. 'A collar?'

"It's so others know that I'm your Onee-Chan~" she said sweetly.

I felt Undying Spark flare wildly and realization hit me—there were also oils in the collar meant to condition me.

'Bitch' I thought even as I leaned into her touch making her smile widen with satisfaction. She sighed and backed away, clearly pleased.

"Renard, make sure to show him around. And remember what we discussed."

Renard gave a small nod before gesturing for me to follow him again.

-

'Bored.'I withheld a yawn as Renard and I walked along a quiet path, leaving the kitchen behind and heading toward the next area in silence—until Renard's words brought me to a halt.

"Sato-san, I'm not sure what Kaito-san told you—"

CRACK

I felt his ribs give under the force of my backward kick. Before he could react, I grabbed the dazed man by the neck and slammed him into the wall.

"How?"

I didn't need to say more. Judging by the way the daze faded from his eyes, he understood I wasn't in the mood for a stupid answer. 'Tsukino doesn't seem like the type to keep an informant from me... there wouldn't be a need—yet...'

Renard let out a weak chuckle, wincing as he did. "I'm sure he showed you the vial?"

My grip tightened, which was all the answer he needed. He continued.

"I gave it to him—"

I loosened my hold slightly. Not enough to let him move without me snapping something in his neck, but just enough for him to breathe properly.

"Why would you betray Enra's trust?"

He rolled his eyes, then winced—likely from the pain in his ribs.

"I want to be free."

My brow rose at that. He looked past me toward the floor, letting out a slow sigh.

"On some days, I act as though I'm under Mizuki-sama's command, but in truth, I briefly gain clarity. And it's in those moments that I want to be free—free from her grasp and the eyes of the Elder."

I studied him in silence before finally releasing his neck. He rubbed the sore spot as he got back up and I spoke again.

"What about the days you don't have clarity?"

He sighed and gave a small shrug, wincing again.

"Feels like someone else is controlling my body and I'm just the passenger."

I hummed in response, eyeing him. "You fine to move?"

Not that I particularly cared—but it wouldn't look good if he was limping around after spending just one day with me. Still, it seemed my concern was unnecessary as he chuckled and brushed himself off.

"I'll be fine. Luckily, where we're headed could serve as a decent excuse."

That made my other eyebrow rise to join its brother.

"Come along, Sato-san."

-

"My little otouto~!"

Those were the words I was greeted with—right before my world went dark, smothered by Mizuki's scent as she shoved my face into her cleavage.

"I hope Renard wasn't too hard on you?~"

I shook my head as best I could, trying to speak though only muffled gibberish came out from within her chest.

"Sato-san is quite the fighter, Mizuki-sama." Renard remarked.

She let out a curious hum, continuing to walk toward the couch—still holding me in her embrace.

"Oh? How so, Renard?"

I felt her slender fingers lightly trace the back of my neck as he responded with his usual calm.

"He has exceptional instincts, and his smaller frame belies the strength he possesses."

She hummed again at that, then leaned in to whisper against my ear.

"Of course my little otouto is talented~"

'She's delusional.' That was the only way I could rationalize how quickly she'd adapted to calling me her "little brother" and acting like I actually was one.'Though how long that lasts is anyone's guess.'

I just needed to impress her enough for her to take me in as a bodyguard. And judging by the way this conversation was going, it wouldn't take long.

"I believe Sato-san would be a good fit among the young recruits." Renard added.

Another hum escaped her before she reached into her chest—pulling my head out so we were eye to eye.

"Otouto, I'm sure you have questions… but I know you don't care, do you~?"

I shook my head, causing her smile to widen.

"Of course, how could I ever doubt my little otouto~"

She giggled, then turned her attention to Renard.

"I'll tell him all about the big bad people that want to hurt his Onee-Chan~"

She gestured lazily toward a nearby wine bottle. Renard gave a small bow and began prepping her a glass while she turned her gaze back to me.

"Onee-Chan won't be able to be with you for a little while, otouto~"

My eyes widened at that. 'Shit. If I'm not close to her—'

She chuckled at my expression and began gently running her fingers through my hair.

"That doesn't mean we won't see each other again~ Maybe Onee-Chan can spend a whole week with you each month. I'll have to see how mean the big baddies are to me~"

I frowned and spoke softly. "Are the bad people hurting Onee-Chan?"

Though I had my pride and a love for fighting, I felt no shame playing this part—mostly because I knew at the end of this she'd be dead.

Mizuki laughed lightly as she accepted the glass of wine from Renard.

"They hurt the ones Onee-Chan looks after~" she said with a sip, then glanced at me. "If Renard's being honest… maybe you can help your Onee-Chan~?"

I pretended to think about it for a moment before nodding and hugging her tightly. She stroked my hair in return.

"Mizuki-sama, it seems Sato-san has decided." Renard said simply.

Her only response was a soft, delighted chuckle.

'This is going to take more than a year...'
