The school days began to settle into their usual rhythm, but the group couldn't help but notice something peculiar: Kiddy always seemed to be the first one in the classroom, no matter what. It became a running joke among them, with each person arriving earlier than usual, only to be surprised that Kiddy was already there, sitting at his desk with a calm smile.
One morning, when they all arrived unusually early—before the bell even rang—they found themselves in the classroom together, shocked to see everyone else there so early. Kiddy looked up and grinned. "Wow, look at you guys! Finally deciding to join the early bird club?"
Sam chuckled. "Honestly, we're just tired of you always being here before us. How do you do it?"
Kiddy shrugged, a playful twinkle in his eye. "Just a habit, I guess."
That vague response only piqued their curiosity more. They exchanged glances, silently agreeing to get to the bottom of it.
"Come on, Kiddy," Lily chimed in. "What time do you actually get here? Spill the secret."
Kiddy smirked, but before he could deflect, Sam added, "Yeah, don't try to change the topic this time."
But Kiddy was one step ahead. "Speaking of topics, did you guys hear about the new movie coming out next week?"
Ammy, always sharp, saw through the diversion. She crossed her arms, fixing Kiddy with a stern look. "Nice try, but you're not getting out of this one. Just tell us!"
Kiddy chuckled, shaking his head. "Sorry, no can do."
This began a week-long quest for answers. The next morning, Sam decided to wake up at the crack of dawn, determined to beat Kiddy to school. He was confident he'd finally catch Kiddy in the act. But when he arrived, there was Kiddy—sitting at his desk, as usual.
"How?" Sam muttered in disbelief. Kiddy just smiled innocently.
Lily decided to take a different approach. She leaned in closer to Kiddy during lunch, giving him a playful smile. "You know, Kiddy, you could tell me. It'll be our little secret."
Kiddy laughed but stayed tight-lipped. Sam, however, didn't find it amusing and shot Lily a jealous glance. Realizing her mistake, she quickly backtracked, spending the rest of the day making it up to him with reassurances that it was all just in good fun.
Ammy, on the other hand, took a more direct approach. She started asking Kiddy trick questions, hoping to catch him off guard. When that didn't work, she resorted to playful punches on his arm, demanding the answer. Kiddy just laughed, refusing to budge.
Meanwhile, Harry and Mando watched the whole thing unfold with amusement, enjoying the spectacle of their friends trying—and failing—to outsmart Kiddy. They exchanged knowing looks and burst into laughter more than once, thoroughly entertained by the chaos.
In the end, the group never did figure out what time Kiddy arrived at school, but the mystery only added to the fun and brought them closer together.
