Synopsis
[A/N: On Hiatus For This Month] I woke up in the Demon World. Not as a hero. Not as some OP protagonist. But as... Iruma Suzuki?! Yeah, that Iruma. The polite, spineless human adopted by a powerful demon grandpa. But this time, I'm in control-and I'm not here to be anyone's servant. With knowledge of the future, a Demon King seat up for grabs, and a powerful family name to back me up, I'm rewriting the story. No more playing nice. It's time this human rises to the top of the Netherworld-one calculated move at a time. Let the demon school games begin. ——————— A/N: This Is A Orginal Work ———————

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: So… I Got Kidnapped by a Grandpa Demon?!

One second I was chilling in my room, binge-reading the latest chapter of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, and the next—

BAM.

I was falling. Not metaphorically. Physically, painfully, dramatically falling into a black, inky void like some budget anime isekai scene.

And then I landed.

Hard.

Right on my face.

Ow.

Also, why do floors in hell hurt more than reality? Shouldn't they at least be carpeted?

"My dear grandsooooon!!"

Wait. That voice. That ridiculous voice. That… Sullivan?!

I blinked, and standing in front of me was none other than Sullivan himself—old, overly enthusiastic, and grinning like he just won the lottery. But this wasn't fanart. This was real.

I looked down at my hands. Small. Pale. Not my usual disaster of a body.

And then it hit me.

I've been transmigrated.

As Iruma.

At the exact moment Sullivan "adopts" him.

...Oh crap.

Okay, okay. Deep breath.

This isn't bad. I mean, sure—I've been kidnapped by a literal demon and am now stuck in a chaotic anime world where death is a daily threat, BUT… there's a silver lining.

I know the plot.

And unlike Canon Iruma, who just wanted to survive and smile through the nonsense, I've got ambition.

I know how this world works, who the players are, what's coming. If I play my cards right, I won't just survive.

I'll thrive.

I'll climb to the top.

I'll be the Demon King.

Cue dramatic music.

"From today onward, you are my beloved grandson!" Sullivan declared, practically vibrating with joy. I half expected confetti to shoot out of his ears.

I raised an eyebrow. "Do I get snacks?"

He blinked. Then laughed. "Of course, my dear boy! Anything you want!"

Right. Let's roll with it.

I'm in.

Turns out being the grandson of the Chairman of Babyls is pretty sweet. Big mansion. Endless food. Magical toothbrush that scrubs for you. 10/10, no complaints.

Except… y'know… the whole I now live in the demon realm and everyone around me could eat me if they knew I was human thing.

Details.

Sullivan and Opera didn't seem to notice my internal breakdown as they guided me through the estate, proudly showing off all the rooms I now "owned."

Opera was especially... intense.

"This is your room," they said, voice flat but eyes sharp enough to slice titanium. "Do not destroy it."

"Noted," I muttered, totally not intimidated. (Lies. I was very intimidated.)

Sullivan grinned, slinging an arm around me like a proud dad at a school play. "You start school tomorrow, Iruma-chan!"

Right. The entrance ceremony.

Where canon Iruma gets tricked into reading a demonic chant in front of the whole school and accidentally earns the admiration of the entire student body.

Oh wait.

That's me now.

Next morning came way too fast.

I got shoved into a pristine white uniform that felt way too expensive to wear without insurance, stuffed into a demon limousine (yes, that's a thing), and driven to Babyls Demon School—aka How to Die Young: The Building.

Sullivan looked like he was dropping off his firstborn at kindergarten. "Good luck, my precious grandson!"

Opera just nodded with a serious, "Try not to die."

Thanks, Mom and Dad. Love the support.

The entrance ceremony was… something.

Dark gothic auditorium. Hundreds of demons staring down at me like hungry hawks. And of course, Sullivan had to announce to everyone that I was his precious grandson.

Whispers spread like wildfire.

"That's Sullivan's heir?"

"Doesn't look like much."

"Must be ridiculously powerful!"

Yeah. Sure. I can barely do pushups without crying.

And then… Sullivan handed me a scroll.

"Read this, Iruma-chan!" he said cheerfully.

I glanced at the scroll.

Huh. Looks like a chant. Probably a simple introduction—WAIT.

Wait a damn second.

This is that chant.

The one that triggers ancient power. That only royalty is supposed to recite.

He wants me to read this?!

I opened my mouth to argue.

He sparkled at me.

...

Dammit. I sighed and read it out loud.

The moment I finished—

The air trembled.

The auditorium went silent.

And then it erupted.

I was glowing. Literal magical energy swirling around me like I just awakened my final form. Demons were gasping, fainting, scribbling in notebooks.

I blinked.

What. The. Hell.

Sullivan was clapping like a seal on caffeine. "My grandson is amaaaaazing!"

The rest of the school?

Yeah. They looked like they'd just seen the second coming of Demon King Derkila.

And I was standing there like, "I just read a scroll, guys."

I thought I was home free.

Big mistake.

As soon as the ceremony ended and I tried to sneak off, a voice rang out like a slap across the courtyard.

"You! Iruma Suzuki!"

I turned.

Oh. Crap.

Tall. Elegant. Furious. And pink-haired.

Asmodeus Alice.

The Asmodeus Alice.

Canonically top student, magic prodigy, and the guy who was supposed to give the speech today.

I guess I accidentally stole his spotlight just like orginal.

Oops?

"You took my place," he hissed, approaching like a noble preparing for execution. "I challenge you to a duel."

And just like that, I was officially screwed.

A/N: Hey everyone!

This is the very first fanfic of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun on this platform (as far as I know), so I don't really have any other stories to use for reference. I'm just writing this for fun and to share an idea I've had for a while.

Please be patient with me if I don't update regularly-I'll do my best!

Hope you enjoy the story!
