Chapter 26: Honest Meeting
"Hey! Gwen!"
Yang Le, sitting under the parasol outside the Restaurant, greeted Gwen who had just crossed the Road.
"Morning, Habby." Gwen returned the greeting and then yawned, clearly not well-rested.
"Didn't sleep well?" Yang Le looked at Gwen, who sat down next to him and unceremoniously ate the Fries from his Meal Set.
"How could I possibly sleep well?" Gwen sighed, looked around, and then leaned closer to Yang Le, lowering her voice. "I'm on tenterhooks right now, afraid of turning into a Monster. To make matters worse, I still have to figure out how to explain the Door Handle I ripped off to my dad."
"That really is a disaster." Yang Le expressed sympathy verbally, but the corners of his mouth still couldn't help but turn up. He saw Gwen clench her Fist.
"Wo wo wo, watch it." Yang Le looked at Gwen's small pink Fist and quickly raised both hands to surrender. "You could really Punch me to death now."
"Sigh~" Gwen sighed, put down her Fist. "Okay, stop fooling around, Habby. Do you really have a solution for my situation?"
"Of course, I do." Yang Le quickly finished his Burger, wiped his mouth, and then stood up, signaling Gwen to follow.
"Where are we going?" Gwen asked, following behind Yang Le.
"My Home."
"Your Home?" Gwen was taken aback when she heard this. Come to think of it, she had never been to Yang Le's Home in all this time they had known each other, not even knowing which street he lived on.
"What are we going to do at your Home?"
"You'll know when you get there."
Faced with the mysterious Yang Le, Gwen had no choice but to obediently follow behind.
Yang Le led Gwen through several streets, arrived at an Alley, and finally stopped in front of a Manhole Cover in the Alley.
"What are we doing here? Didn't you say we were going to your Home?" Gwen looked at Yang Le in confusion.
"This is the Doorway to my Home." Yang Le stomped on the Manhole Cover under his feet.
"Habby, I'm not in the mood for jokes right now." Gwen's tone was a bit stiff, clearly not believing what Yang Le was saying.
Yang Le didn't explain further, directly moved the Manhole Cover away, revealing the Ladder inside.
"Follow me and you'll know if I'm joking or not. Oh, and remember to put the Manhole Cover back after climbing down."
Yang Le finished speaking and climbed down the Ladder. Gwen watched Yang Le climb down, hesitated again and again, and then followed, also putting the Manhole Cover back on.
When entering the Sewer, Gwen had prepared herself for a stench, but she found that the Sewer was cleaner than she had imagined.
Not long after walking, Yang Le led Gwen to the Doorway of the Base, entered the Password to Unlock as usual, and in Gwen's shocked gaze, the Doorway to the Secret Base opened.
"Come in." Yang Le was very satisfied with Gwen's shocked expression, took the lead and walked in, while Gwen followed blankly behind.
"Alright, madam, please allow me to solemnly introduce you to my Home!" Yang Le opened the last security Doorway, and the full view of the Base was displayed before Gwen's eyes.
"Wow!" Gwen looked at the facilities inside the Base in shock. Although they were messy, they all revealed a sense of Technology.
"Habby, are you some kind of secret agent?"
"Agent? Of course, I'm not."
Yang Le directly denied Gwen's guess, and before Gwen could speak again, he dropped a bombshell.
"Actually, I'm a person from another World."
"A person from another World?" Gwen looked at Yang Le in disbelief.
"Do you know about the Multiverse?" Yang Le said as he turned on the Projection. A Earth the size of a Fist was Projected between the two of them.
"Besides the Universe we live in now, there are countless Universes similar to Public perception."
Yang Le pointed his Index Finger at the Projected Earth. In an instant, the Earth suddenly split into hundreds, surrounding Yang Le and Gwen.
Gwen looked at the azure planet surrounding her and couldn't help but reach for one of them. Although there was no feeling of grasping it, that Earth still moved with her hand.
"The various Universes contained within the Multiverse are called Parallel Universes, and I come from another Parallel Universe."
Yang Le walked towards Gwen holding a Projected Earth in his hand. Gwen also held a Projected Earth in her hand and looked at Yang Le at the same time.
"Due to some special reasons, I came to this Universe from my Universe."
Yang Le gently tossed the Projected Earth towards Gwen. The Earth that was tossed over slowly merged with the Earth in her hand under Gwen's gaze. Then, the hundreds of Earths surrounding them also converged into Gwen's hand, re-merging into one.
"Cool!" Gwen looked at the Projected Earth in her hand in amazement, and then turned her gaze to Yang Le.
"So, Habby, you're really a person from another World?"
"Genuine article." Yang Le spread out his hands, like a Band conductor.
"So, Habby, are you going to use your other World's high Technology to solve the trouble I'm in?" Gwen looked at Yang Le expectantly.
"That's what I'm going to talk about next, Gwen." Yang Le raised his left hand, revealing the Omnitrix worn on it.
"Actually, you're not the only one with special Abilities."
After speaking, Yang Le pressed the Button on the Omnitrix. The dazzling White Light that followed made Gwen unable to open her eyes. When the White Light dissipated, Gwen reopened her eyes and found a familiar red and tall Figure replacing Yang Le standing in front of her.
"This... this." Gwen looked in shock at the Four-Armed Tyrant that suddenly appeared.
"You're the Four-armed Weirdo who appeared at the Expo. How are you here? Where's Habby?"
"Calm down, Gwen." Yang Le, transformed into Fourarms, was too tall, so he had to sit on the ground to talk to Gwen.
"I am Habby. This is my Ability. I can Transformation."
After Yang Le finished speaking, in order to make Gwen believe him, he canceled the Transformation again. A White Light flashed, and Yang Le transformed back into an Ordinary Person.
"So, you're the one who defeated that Rhino? No wonder the Police couldn't find you after you left. It turns out you've been right under our noses all along, just with a different Figure."
Gwen glared at Yang Le angrily, feeling that she had worried for nothing before, and couldn't help but say sarcastically.
"You've really been keeping busy, Mr. Clark."
"There was no way around it. If I had told you from the beginning that I could Transformation into Fourarms, you definitely wouldn't have believed me, but haven't I told you now? By the way, Fourarms is the Name of the Alien I just transformed into. How is it? Cool, right?" Yang Le heard Gwen's complaint, it seemed she was dissatisfied with him for keeping things from her.
"Let's not discuss that for now. You didn't tell me before, but why are you suddenly planning to tell me now? Is it because I also have Superpower?" Gwen asked doubtfully.
"That's what I'm going to talk about next." Yang Le straightened his expression.
"Just like I said before, the Multiverse is composed of countless Parallel Universes, and among countless Parallel Universes, there are always some similar points. Gwen, you are one of them."
Yang Le said, and opened the Projection again. This time, what was Projected was not Earth, but a Symbol, a Symbol that Gwen had never seen before, which looked like a Spider.
"I'm one of them?"
"That's right, Spider-Man."
