The notification came without warning.
Displayed on the base terminal: Alpha Priority. Intervention Protocol. Immediate Authorization.
Kael rose from the study desk and headed to the core chamber.
Mister appeared on the screen, his expression serious.
— We've detected an interference at a point not cataloged in human history.
A city that shouldn't exist.
A civilization… that appears in no record.
Kael kept his gaze steady.
— When?
— Year 6182 B.C.
Central region of what would now be called the Middle East.
— Name?
Mister hesitated.
— They call themselves the City of Three Moons.
---
Kael crossed the portal at dusk.
The atmosphere was dense, but stable.
And then, he saw the impossible:
Metallic towers, crystalline structures, suspended bridges glowing above light-filled canals.
And in the sky, three moons orbiting slowly.
The city existed outside of known time.
But it was real.
And Kael now had a new mission:
to find out why it existed…
and decide whether it should continue to exist.
