Chapter 15 - The Youngest Student of the Saint Class

...

"haah~"

Finally, Hu Liena sighed. Since things had already come to this, worrying further would be pointless.

Her thoughts returned to the present.

"i am not weak." Upon hearing the mocking laughter in the classroom, lu leng immediately retorted. "You're looking down on people with your dog eyes."

His voice wasn't loud, but it was clear enough for everyone to hear.

"What did you say?" The blond man stood up abruptly. "Say that again if you dare!"

"I said, you're looking down on people with your dog eyes!" Lu Leng enunciated each word clearly, staring straight at him.

"Where did this wild kid come from? Doesn't he know the consequences?"

"A newborn calf isn't afraid of a tiger. Kid, I advise you to apologize now, or don't blame me for not warning you later."

"Little brother, your courage is commendable, but let me tell you, in the Spirit Academy, it's strength that speaks."

"..."

Before the blond man could speak, the others began chiming in like actors in a play, one after another.

"No need for you all to play the good guys here. I, Lu Leng, mean what I say. You're looking down on people with your dog eyes, so what!" Lu Leng said unapologetically, his aura rising.

"This guy just offended everyone in one go," Yan, sitting in the corner, shook his head inwardly.

The blond man also lost his temper, his expression turning cold. "Kid, since you're so eager to court death, I don't mind obliging you."

With that, he prepared to take action.

Lu Leng didn't back down either, his spirit power surging in his hands, ready for a fight.

"Stop!"

Just as the tension reached its peak, the beautiful teacher on the podium finally spoke.

Her words seemed to carry authority, and the blond man immediately sat back down without any hesitation.

Seeing this, Lu Leng also withdrew his spirit power.

"The classroom is a place for learning, not fighting. Don't say I didn't warn you—anyone who violates this will be expelled from the Saint Class," the teacher said again, her voice as cold as her demeanor.

Then, she turned her gaze to Lu Leng. "You said your name is Lu Leng?"

"Yes."

The teacher recalled her memory. She seemed to remember that Solus had mentioned a new student would be arriving today, but she hadn't expected him to be so young. A hint of surprise flickered across her face, but she quickly composed herself. "I'm Mimi, your homeroom teacher. I hope you'll study hard and not disappoint your family's expectations."

Mimi had already categorized him as someone who had gotten in through connections.

"Thank you, Teacher," Lu Leng nodded indifferently. "Where should I sit?"

Mimi looked up at the classroom.

"Wait, Teacher, are you saying this kid is a student of our Saint Class?" Another voice chimed in.

"Yes," Mimi nodded.

"No way, he's a student of our Saint Class? How old is he?" Exclamations of surprise erupted in the classroom.

"Such a little kid, did he get in through connections?"

"Exactly, the youngest in our Saint Class is ten years old."

"Hey kid, how old are you?"

"Six and a half," Lu Leng replied, enjoying the look of shock on their faces.

Sure enough, the room fell silent once again.

"Six years old?!"

"Since when can a six-year-old join the Saint Class?"

"This guy definitely got in through connections!"

"..."

Mimi couldn't help but frown. "Quiet!"

The classroom immediately fell silent.

Lu Leng was inwardly surprised. It seemed that Mimi wasn't just good-looking. To make these arrogant geniuses obediently listen to her, she must have something special about her.

"Lu Leng, you can sit next to Hu Liena."

"Yes, Teacher."

Ignoring the expressions of the others, Mimi began today's lesson as Lu Leng sat down. "Alright, let's start the class. Today, we'll be discussing group tactics... blah blah blah..."

As Lu Leng listened to the lecture, he roughly counted the number of people in the Saint Class. Including himself, there were only twenty-three people.

But these twenty-three individuals were the elite of the entire Spirit Academy.

And these people would all become stepping stones on his path to becoming the Saint.

Time passed quickly during the lecture. When the bell rang, Lu Leng was startled. He had been so engrossed in the lesson that he hadn't realized class was already over. It had to be said that Teacher Mimi was an excellent lecturer—vivid, interesting, and able to convey the essence of the knowledge through numerous examples, allowing students to quickly absorb the material and benefit greatly.

No wonder everyone listened to her. She definitely had some skills.

"Hey, you're pretty cocky, huh?" The blond-haired guy approached him the moment class ended.

"The cocky one is the one picking a fight," Lu Leng replied without turning his head.

"Kid, which elder's descendant are you?"

"What's it to you?" Lu Leng didn't want to waste time with such a small fry and stood up to leave.

But the blond guy wasn't willing to let him go. He reached out to block Lu Leng's path. "Big talker, think you can just act tough and run away?"

"What do you want? I remember fighting isn't allowed in the classroom," Lu Leng said. It wasn't that he was afraid of fighting in the classroom, but rather that he feared being expelled from the Saint Class. Being expelled would mean losing his chance at becoming the Saint.

"Of course, no one would fight in the Saint Class. If you've got the guts, let's meet at the martial arena!" With that, the blond guy turned and left.

"I'll be waiting! Don't chicken out."

As he walked out the door, the blond guy pointed two fingers at his own eyes, then at Lu Leng.

Chicken out? Was Lu Leng the type to chicken out?

Obviously, he was.

Just kidding...

"This protagonist halo of mine is meant for moments like this. How could I chicken out? Besides, such a great opportunity to show off—would I really back down?" Lu Leng just wanted to sneer. He had originally been thinking about how to establish his dominance in the Spirit Academy.

Now, it seemed he didn't need to worry. With the protagonist halo in place, people would naturally come looking for trouble.

"Are you really going?" Just as Lu Leng took a step, Hu Liena came up beside him and asked.

"Why not?" Lu Leng retorted. 'He's about to kick my face in. Should I just smile and apologize? Besides, if I don't go, wouldn't that be embarrassing for pope?'

"Do you even know who he is, that you dare to go?" At this moment, Yan and Xie Yue also came over.

"Who?"

"He's the grandson of the Demon Bear Douluo, his name Xiong Rige. He's fifteen years old, with a soul power of level 35, ranked 59th on the Spirit Academy's strength leaderboard—even higher than Xie Yue's current ranking!"

"Is he strong?" Lu Leng shot back.

At fifteen years old and only at level thirty-five, he was slightly weaker than Dai Mubai. As for his ranking, although it was higher than Xie Yue's current level, Xie Yue was only twelve years old. Even if he leveled up three times a year under normal circumstances, by the age of fifteen, Xie Yue would have already reached level forty, leaving this guy far behind.

"Uh..."

When Lu Leng posed this question, the three of them were instantly rendered speechless.

Yeah, was he really that strong?
