Circa 1500 BCE – The Vedic Age, Ancient India
The rivers were sacred. The air, heavy with incense. Marcus wandered into the Indus Valley wearing a simple robe, blending into a crowd at a yajna ceremony as hymns in Sanskrit rose into the sky.

Words lit up like fire in his mind. Suddenly, he understood.
He stayed in Takṣaśilā, studying under sages, challenging wandering monks, and even meditating by the Ganges. But when an asura attacked a village—an enormous being of shadow and flame—Marcus stepped in.
He battled it with a weapon formed from pure aether, his arm glowing like the sun. The people called him Agnideva's brother, or sometimes… just "the Flame-Walker."
When the rishis questioned him, he replied simply:
> "I am neither god nor demon. I'm the reminder that balance must be fought for."
