Chapter 3 - ep:3- UNSPOKEN FEELINGS

Scene 1: The Morning Tension

The school bell rang, signaling the start of another day, but for Ha-joon, it was the same feeling of dread — another day in class with Hana. As he entered the classroom, he caught sight of her immediately. She was already sitting at her desk, looking calm and composed, but something about the way she held herself made his stomach tighten. "Why does she still get to me?" Ha-joon thought, his heart pounding for no reason. He shook his head, trying to push the thoughts aside. "I'm just annoyed. That's all."

On the other side of the room, Hana's eyes flickered to Ha-joon as he walked in. She immediately looked away, pretending not to care. But deep down, she couldn't help but feel her heart race just by the sight of him. "What is wrong with me?" she thought, frowning slightly. "Why is he still so annoying? Why does everything about him still matter?" She was confused, and the strange fluttering in her chest only added to her frustration.

Both of them tried to act unaffected, but it was impossible to ignore the invisible tension between them. The air felt heavier than usual.

Scene 2: The Group Project (Again)

During lunch, they were once again forced to meet for the group project. This time, they sat at a small table in the corner of the cafeteria. Ha-joon tried to act cool, but he couldn't deny that he was nervous. The way Hana kept glancing at him, avoiding his gaze, made him feel strange. "Why do I feel like I'm on edge?" he thought.

"So, uh... we need to figure out our next steps," Ha-joon said, trying to sound casual. He rubbed the back of his neck, suddenly unsure of how to start the conversation.

Hana, her eyes focused on her notebook, simply nodded. "Yeah. We're still way behind." Her tone was sharp, but there was a hint of something softer underneath — a vulnerability she hadn't meant to show.

Ha-joon couldn't help but notice the way she was biting her lip slightly as she jotted something down. "Why does she look... cute doing that?" he thought, and before he could stop himself, the words escaped. "You know, you look kind of... focused right now. It's different from how you act in class."

Hana immediately froze, her face flushing. "What did he just say?" Her mind raced. "Did he... compliment me?" Her heart skipped a beat, but she didn't want to show it. She quickly recovered, crossing her arms defensively. "Shut up. Just focus on the project, okay?"

Ha-joon blinked, momentarily thrown off. "Wait... was that a... good thing?" He wasn't sure, but the way she reacted made him feel strangely pleased. He quickly went back to scribbling on his paper, trying to hide the tiny grin threatening to appear on his face.

Scene 3: The Unexpected Encounter

Later that afternoon, Ha-joon found himself walking to his locker, lost in thought. He was trying to figure out how to handle the weird tension he kept feeling around Hana. He still didn't get it. One moment they were at each other's throats, the next, he was wondering why she had this strange effect on him.

As he reached for his locker, a voice interrupted his thoughts. "Ha-joon."

It was Hana, standing right behind him, a bit too close for comfort. She seemed as surprised as he was. "Uh, hey," he said, a little awkwardly, not sure what to do.

"About the project..." she started, then hesitated. "I guess... I guess I was too harsh earlier." She wasn't looking at him now, instead, staring at the ground, her cheeks tinged pink.

Ha-joon raised an eyebrow. "What, you're apologizing?"

Hana sighed, exasperated. "I'm not apologizing. I just... don't want this to be a total disaster." She quickly looked up at him, her expression softening for a moment. "So... maybe we can work together without tearing each other apart?"

Ha-joon stood still, trying to make sense of what was happening. "She's being... nice? No way." The words felt strange coming from her. "Sure, whatever," he said, shrugging. But deep down, a part of him was relieved.

Then, as if on cue, their eyes met. For a brief, inexplicable moment, time seemed to slow down. Ha-joon felt a strange flutter in his chest — the same feeling he had tried to ignore all day. "Why does this feel so... different?" he wondered. But before he could process it, Hana quickly looked away, her usual confident mask returning.

"Just... don't mess this up," she muttered, her voice softer than usual, and walked away.

Ha-joon stood frozen, his heart still pounding in his chest. "What just happened?" He watched her leave, feeling an unfamiliar mix of frustration and excitement.

Scene 4: The Unexpected Reaction

Later that night, as Ha-joon lay in bed, he couldn't shake the strange feeling that had settled in his chest. "Why do I feel so... weird after that?" he thought, staring up at the ceiling. "I've never felt like this about her before. I don't get it. Why does she have this effect on me?" He sighed, trying to ignore the fluttering in his stomach, but the more he thought about it, the more it made him restless. "This is messed up."

Across town, Hana was doing the same. She tossed and turned in her bed, staring out the window, thinking about Ha-joon. "Why am I still thinking about him?" she wondered. "What is wrong with me?" The brief moment of vulnerability earlier had left her feeling confused. "I don't care about him. I shouldn't. But why does everything about him feel... different now?" Her heart was still racing, and she couldn't figure out why.
