Chapter 98 - Volume 3, Chapter 8: Trainee Conflict

Tian Xingjian felt that war was truly hateful. In the morning, he had to guide rookies at the repair training camp, and in the afternoon, he had to endure Russell's torture. He barely had any free time and had to constantly engage in various self-punishments.

If there weren't a war, who would have time for these damn things? He hadn't even had the energy to peek at Ann Lei's baths for days, fearing he might collapse if he accidentally exhausted himself.

Fatty placed his legs over his shoulders, sat on his head with his butt, rolled back and forth, and sighed. Every time he practiced yoga and saw his muscular body being squeezed into different shapes, he felt a particular heartache!

The military training for the trainees had been going on for a week. Tian Xingjian and Major Hanke cooperated very well. Hanke was a veteran who had been working in mechanical repairs for ten years, climbing the ranks step by step through his technical skills. But even he was shocked and impressed by Fatty's repair skills, publicly acknowledging that Fatty was the greatest repair expert he had seen in ten years. As a result, the trainees at the repair camp practically worshipped Fatty.

You should know that, thanks to Fatty's teachings, even setting aside other things, just the assembly and disassembly of the BG-17 standard energy rifle— as long as the trainee wasn't particularly clumsy, they basically reached a level of disassembling in seven parts and assembling in ten. Even in front-line troops, this was considered top-notch.

Some of the boys, who had better personalities, especially liked to boast and joke with Fatty. Fatty had been around the battlefield for so long, talking about war stories was easy for him, and these boys listened with glowing eyes.

The girls, too, liked to hover around Fatty whenever they could. After all, it was the age of hero worship, and hearing Fatty boast about himself made their eyes twinkle and they made an effort to appear innocent, exclaiming and cheering repeatedly.

In Fatty's eyes, this was the perfect provocation, as if they were all saying, "Chase me! Catch me and I'm yours!" Appearing completely willing to be picked.

Such good things never fell to Fatty. After Ann Lei came looking for him twice in the training camp, she was instantly idolized by all the boys, further increasing their admiration for Fatty. An angelic and beautiful woman was charmed by him, making this Fatty instructor too damn impressive!

The female students completely lost their confidence and gave up any thoughts of flirting with Fatty, to Fatty's great sorrow.

Fatty wasn't much older than these trainees. They had many topics to discuss among peers. Hanke was also a kind-hearted person. As long as the training was up to par, he didn't mind being teased, so among the dozens of ordinary training camps and several special training camps, the relationship between the trainees and instructors at the repair camp was the best.

This was supposed to be a good thing, but since the trainees at the repair camp were overly protective of Fatty, it eventually caused trouble.

The new batch of trainees at Gallipalan had a very complex mix of backgrounds. Among the tens of thousands, there were people from affluent families, those branded as geniuses, famous commanders featured in the news, and war-hardened veterans. Being young and brash, the school culture was competitive, leading to various rankings—beauty rankings, combat skills rankings, sports rankings, Mecha rankings, and even a rich list.

Everyone goes through these things, and in retrospect, it's laughable and not taken seriously. It's just a product of youthful arrogance.

But at the time, it was hard to see through. Those on the list were either smug or indifferent, while those not on the list were either resentful or pretended to be above it.

Among the prominent figures, the most vain or the most capable were all in the Special Training Camp! You could say the Special Forces Camp was the cream of Gallipalan College, gathering top students from all departments. And the most embarrassing thing for these top students was that initial phase of military training.

Thinking back on it made them blush, especially those who tied themselves up like SM princesses, wanting to strangle themselves with a strap.

It didn't matter if they embarrassed themselves. The issue was that Fatty from the repair camp was downright nasty. If it hadn't been for the timely conclusion of the repair camp's formation training, that Fatty would have laughed himself to death right there, making it the most sensational news in the college.

Catherine was also in the Special Forces Camp. She felt that stubbornly insisting on joining the men's Special Forces Camp was the dumbest decision of her life, especially having to deal with that damn Fatty!

The last time, that damn Fatty, wobbling among the girls, accidentally making physical contact with his elbows, hadn't been settled yet, and now he was an archenemy. Unbearable! The only solution for such a lewd and obscene Fatty was humane extermination.

This sentiment surged to unprecedented heights in the Special Forces Camp. Everyone was unanimously in agreement, feeling that finally, heroes had met their match and found their soulmate.

So, during breaks in training, there were always people standing not far from Fatty, shouting provocations or insults. But Fatty didn't want to bother with these inexperienced kids, and just ignored them as if they were talking nonsense.

He didn't mind, but the trainees found the words offensive. Some trainees, especially close to Fatty, were furious.

One day, Fatty was sprawled out in a chair resting when suddenly, Big White Rabbit ran over and shook him violently, almost shaking milk out of Fatty. Scared of being hammered to death by Big White Rabbit, Fatty quickly stood up and asked, "What's wrong? What happened?"

Big White Rabbit had developed a habit since childhood of catching her breath before talking. She stood with hands on her hips, gasping for breath. By the time she caught hers, Fatty was almost out of breath.

Just before he died, Fatty finally understood Big White Rabbit's words: the repair camp and the Special Forces Camp were fighting!

This was serious! Fatty bolted outside. Upon reaching the training ground, he saw the repair camp and the Special Forces Camp in a tense standoff.

There were a few repair camp trainees lying on the ground, and it wasn't clear if they were dead or alive!

The boys in the repair camp weren't physically strong but were brainy and sly, which suited Fatty's tastes. The relationship between instructors and trainees had long been one of collusion.

But Fatty hadn't anticipated that these unarmed kids would fight a group of Special Forces trainees for his sake. He felt both moved and furious. The Special Forces Camp had gone too far!

Let's see, who the hell dares bully my troops! (To be continued. For more details, visit WWW.CMFU.COM, support the author, and read the legitimate version!)
