The final Regi, Regigigas, was placed in the underground of the Alliance Base.
Dak had used the system to exchange a section of seawater beneath the Alliance Base, forming a dark, concealed space where Regigigas could sleep.
Logically speaking—
With the current power level of Lumiose City, there was no real need for a Legendary Pokémon to guard it.
Though the current Alliance trainers were still limited in strength, in less than a decade, many Elite-level and even Champion-level trainers would emerge from those stationed in Lumiose.
There was even potential for trainers strong enough to rival gods—Champions and Masters.
Moreover—
To the north of Lumiose, in the hunting zone, there was Tyranitar, the God of Sandstorm.
To the south, in the suburban forests, there was Sceptile, the God of the Leaf.
With these two Pokémon already present—both comparable to Tier Two Legends—there really shouldn't be any issues.
But the absence of a Tier One Legendary stationed in Lumiose City just didn't sit right. It felt… incomplete.
After all, Lumiose was the Pokémon Alliance's capital, the metropolis of Pokémon Island. Didn't it deserve a Tier One Legendary as its guardian?
And so, Regigigas, a Tier One with a special status, became the divine protector of Lumiose City.
Distributing all these divine guardians to their locations didn't take Dak much time.
After resting for a day in Lumiose, Dak returned to the magical world.
When Sothia saw Dak again, a curious look crossed her face.
After all, this was her first time witnessing someone traverse between worlds. And Dak looked so casual about it—it made her quite hopeful about the solution he had promised.
"Sorry to keep you waiting."
"Not at all. It's only been a day. That fast?"
"Mm. I'm heading to the Sacred Land now. You can head over later to check the results."
Dak gave a slight shake of his head.
Then, with a blink, he teleported straight into the underground Sacred Land.
The Sacred Land wasn't completely dark anymore—it was dim at most.
That was because the inscriptions on the walls had absorbed a great deal of Ho-Oh's Rainbow Light the previous day, and they still shimmered with colorful radiance.
While magic energy still couldn't be used in this space, other abilities weren't restricted at all.
Dak's taijutsu, ninjutsu, and unique powers all functioned just fine.
Of course, there weren't many people in any world who trained across so many disciplines—only Dak's three disciples had been forced to develop that comprehensively.
As for someone with Dak's level of mastery—there was no one.
He had invested an enormous amount of time and effort to attain his current strength.
"Looking back… all sweat and grind."
Dak sighed and pulled up his system interface for a ten-pull draw.
Nothing useful. He shut the system again.
"Come out—Regice, Palkia."
He summoned the two Legendary Pokémon.
Once Regice appeared, the Sacred Land—which had been only dim—suddenly lit up.
It was as if a giant spotlight had been turned on in the center, illuminating everything.
Dak hadn't realized on Pokémon Island that Regice's icy body actually emitted light.
"Regice, do you see that gate? I'll be counting on you to guard it from now on. Go ahead and freeze it."
"Gii-ruru."
The yellow dots on Regice's face lit up. It silently walked toward the World Gate.
Each step it took froze the ground beneath into thick ice.
Once it reached the gate, the entire portal was instantly sealed in a massive block of ice.
That was Regice's unique trait.
Unfortunately, it was also why Regice had lived its life in isolation—only a few other Ice-types were immune to this passive freezing.
It didn't dare touch even flowers or grass, afraid of killing them with its mere presence.
Among the Three Regis, Regice had the toughest lot.
The other two didn't have this troublesome passive.
But in return—
This trait gave Regice strong compensation for its weaker physical defense, deterring most physical attackers from even trying.
And since most physical moves required close contact, they essentially became useless against Regice.
Thus, Regice ended up as the strongest Regi in real-world battle among the three.
"I'll also have Giratina open a portal here, linking to an uninhabited plain on Pokémon Island."
Dak gestured to a spot in the Sacred Land.
"If you ever feel bored or lonely, you can head to the island. Many of the other Legendary Pokémon there won't be hurt by your freezing, so you can play with them freely."
"Gii-ruru~"
Regice brightened, waving happily at the thought.
Then it crouched next to the gate, transforming into a massive crystalline statue of pale blue ice.
From the outside, it looked like a beautiful, glittering gem—no one would guess it was a powerful living creature.
But if any intruder got too curious and approached?
They'd be frozen solid instantly.
"Palkia, use Spacial Rend to cut this space off."
"Roar~"
Palkia nodded and crossed its arms in a swift motion.
Twelve pink crescent-shaped energy slashes sliced through the space, carving the Sacred Land into a self-contained rectangular domain.
Visually, it still looked like it was part of the magical world.
But the moment one reached out to touch, they'd feel a transparent, impassable barrier between the two.
"Good. It's done."
Dak nodded in satisfaction.
Then he extended his right arm, letting crimson lightning wrap around it, with blue glow radiating from it, and his skin turning black and gold.
Conqueror's Haki, Aura, Armament, and Ground Energy—all activated.
Boom!
In the next instant, Dak's fist rocketed forward like a cannonball, smashing into the invisible barrier in front of him.
Crack.
The air seemed to fracture with a faint gray-white line.
Just a tiny one—instantly repaired.
Dak didn't possess the Gura Gura no Mi—it was just that his strength had neared the limit of what this world could handle, enough to cause small-scale spatial damage.
If this were another place—say, Albion—
That punch would've shattered the floating kingdom, sending it crashing down to the surface.
In the entire One Piece world, only two instances could be compared to that kind of destructive force:
The War of the Best, when Whitebeard split Marineford in half.
The clash between Aokiji and Akainu, which permanently altered Punk Hazard's climate into half-ice, half-flames.
Dak then tested the space using both the Door-Door Fruit and psychic teleportation.
Both worked.
That made Dak realize something:
The magical world and the Sacred Land, although separated spatially, still belonged to the same cluster.
Whereas the One Piece world, Naruto world, and Pokémon Island were all separate clusters.
Pokémon Island was particularly special—
Its nature was that of the "Reverse World," the backside of all linked worlds.
Only Giratina, the master of that realm, could open portals to the "front side," allowing the island to serve as the central nexus between all worlds.
The Door-Door Fruit and psychic teleportation were both extremely powerful—
But they were limited to travel within a cluster, and couldn't cross clusters.
Dak could return instantly to the Breeding House using the Door-Door Fruit, but that was thanks to the Mystery Token.
The Breeding House itself existed in a rift between worlds—it had a faint connection to each, yet didn't belong to any single cluster.
The reason why he couldn't cross between worlds?
Dak had a theory—
Time.
Different worlds weren't just separate spaces—they each had their own time systems.
Otherwise, there'd be no need for both Dialga and Palkia in the Pokémon universe—just Palkia would suffice.
The Door-Door Fruit and psychic teleportation could cross space, but not time.
Even maxed-out psychic powers could only see the past and future, not affect or traverse them.
So if Dak wanted to cross worlds on his own, he needed a time-traveling ability.
He didn't need something as grand as Dialga's full dominion over time.
Even something like Celebi's ability to borrow time would be enough.
With that, and the existing link channels, Dak believed he could finally achieve full inter-world travel.
And currently, only one candidate came to mind—
The Toki Toki no Mi, the Time-Time Fruit used by Kozuki Toki.
As Dak lowered his head in thought, footsteps echoed behind him.
He didn't turn—just by the sound, he knew it was Sothia and Yashan.
Especially Yashan—her movement always came with the grinding noise of stone on stone. Impossible to mistake.
"Doesn't look like anything changed."
Sothia raised a brow as she approached and glanced at Dak.
"...Just stretch your hand out and try."
Dak turned his head to look at her—then glanced downward.
Sothia, who used to be about the same height, was now half a head taller than him.
Looking down, he saw she was wearing long-heeled boots.
Before Dak could finish his sentence, bang—Yashan had walked straight into the barrier.
Dak and Sothia looked over, puzzled.
They quickly noticed—
Yashan seemed… off.
Like she had just fallen head over heels in love.
