Chapter 53 - CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO

SUDDENLY Martin visited Sheila today at her mansion; she was grateful that her companion had left.

"Gosh, hon, why didn't you tell me you were coming?" was all she asked the man who greeted her with a hug.

Martin only laughed softly at her after he kissed her on the lips.

"To surprise you." It was clear from her eyes that the man in front of her was happy to see her.

"You're so sweet." That was all he could say.

Martin also brought flowers and gifts from the city. Sheila invited her boyfriend to her palace. They just placed the food he brought on her table.

He showered her with hot kisses again; it was obvious that he was very eager for her now, but her body didn't want it because he had made her body overjoyed last night.

"Martin."

"Yeah?" He asked her eagerly.

"I need to rest." She excused herself.

He stopped and stared at her. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't think of that." Martin looked at her.

"It's okay, the wound on my body can't take it anymore." Sheila said.

"Yeah." He smiled at her. "Has anyone been bothering you since you moved here?" he asked her.

They sat in the living room. "Yeah, I'm fine, and. I have a bodyguard who watches over the mansion when it gets dark."

"That's good to hear; it's for your safety." She smiled at him.

She smiled back at him. He had to do this so he could claim the Francisco treasure.

Just be patient, Sheila. She had said something in her mind.

"This is your sister's villa, isn't it?" her companion suddenly asked, still looking around inside their mansion.

"Yeah, my sister and her husband saved it up, and then they bequeathed it to me." She laughed when he told her the story.

"I got curious, hon." Martin looked at her.

She waited for him to speak, gazing into the distance and watching the setting sun through the window that overlooked the beautiful garden outside the mansion.

"I heard before that your sister Angely is a mistress," Martin asked her.

She was surprised by his question.

"W—Where did you hear that, hon?" she asked.

"The rumor about that spread back then." She looked back.

She was speechless back then.

"Don't worry, I got curious about that. I know it was just gossip here, and I know your sister is the legal wife of Mr. Fredrick Manuel Santiago." He managed to say it, smiling at her.

"Yeah, you shouldn't believe that kind of talk, because it's not true." She said.

No one knew that her sister was also a hooker; when her real husband died, she married his brother. Sheila stared at the man in front of her.

"Yeah, I'm sorry if I suddenly asked you that." He apologized to her.

"Hon, am I your mistress?" She asked Martin.

The man frowned and laughed at her question.

"Of course not, don't worry, I will also be your legal wife when Sharlene signs the divorce papers." He reassured her. "You know that you're my queen, right?" he asked her in a whisper.

She was tickled by the man's whisper in her ear. She stared intently at him and smiled.

"That's why I love you, Martin." He said it before.

"Yeah." The man just hugged her.

She just smiled secretly. She had to be careful with her movements; she was going to marry Martin for his wealth.

"By the way, how's your business?" He asked her.

She was taken aback by his questions now; she didn't immediately respond to his question. She was still digging up excuses in her mind; maybe she would be caught lying. Besides, she had already spent the money on luxuries.

"Ah, that business, I haven't started it yet, you know I'm still recovering now, but I talked to my partners and said that I'll meet with them any minute to discuss it." Sheila immediately told him.

Martin just nodded at him.

"Give me a call if you want to meet with them; I want to meet them too, to ensure that your business is okay." He said further.

"Y—Yeah, I will give you a call." She could only smile. "But I want to surprise you with a business; I will tell you when it is stable. I just want to surprise you." He finished speaking.

Martin smiled at her. "Well, it is your decision. I know that business of yours will be successful; you know that I am always rooting you on to your success, hon." He said to her.

"Aww, thank you so much for that. You're my big fan, always supporting my achievements. That's why it's difficult to let go." She stroked the cheek of the man in front of her.

"When you are happy, I am happy too, Sheila." He smiled at her.

She smiled at the man. "By the way, we have an early dinner today. I have my maid prepare our dinner; just wait here, okay?" Sheila asked Martin.

"Sure, I'm enjoying this beautiful view here." He looked at her intently.

She just froze; her questions made her shake her head. No business and no partners would happen; everything she said earlier was just lies. She helped her maid prepare their food.

She needed to make up for it tonight; her plan might go awry. She felt the uneasy feeling when she was talking to Martin.

Something's off. Something spoke to her mind. She chose that thought because she could see that she could still spin Martin around in her palms.

You need to calm down, Sheila. She reminded herself. She calmed herself, and her phone suddenly vibrated. She immediately deleted the text from Justine. She was thankful that the man was also occupied with his work, as Martin might still notice that he was involved with Justine.

The money Martin gave her, some she spent on luxury, and the rest was in her bank account. Sheila also gave Justin compensation for accompanying her to her older sister's mansion.

Sharlene is here, isn't she? A question crossed her mind.

"Manang, please call Martin." She ordered her maid.

The maid only just nodded and immediately went to the man in the living room who was watching the view through the window. Everything they could eat was ready now.

"Wow, it smells so good." Martin commented when he approached the table.

"Of course, come on, let's eat. Sheila invited Martin to the table." She nodded at him with a wide smile, indicating that he was currently serving Martin.

now.

"Thanks, you really took care of it."

"Just you." He winked.

She just laughed softly at him. They had already eaten by then.

"Martin, I heard that Sharlene was here." Sharlene was about to start working here.

"Oh, yeah? Where did you hear that?" he asked.

"Well, my maid knows Sharlene; she says she has a boyfriend."

She looked at the reaction of the man in front of her.

"Really? The nerve." That was his only comment. I would rather not comment.

"Don't go on about her life, hon. But what if Ashley is not actually your biological daughter?" She just had to ask.

Martin didn't say anything to her, and it made her think. She secretly smiled to herself. She would gradually undermine his confidence.

This will be my sweetest revenge for you, Sharlene. She only said what was on her mind while drinking some wine.
