Chapter 16 - Leonardo Salvadore.

Somewhere in A City,

Leonardo Salvadore sat on his plush, velvet sofa, sipping his favorite vintage wine from a delicate, crystal glass. His wife, Mariana, sat beside him, her designer gown shimmering in the soft light of the penthouse suite. She wore a sumptuous gown of rich velvet. The fitted bodice showcased her slender figure, while the flowing skirt fell in graceful folds, its hem adorned with intricate embroidery.

A delicate gauze veil framed her face, its sheer fabric draping gracefully over her shoulders and down her back like a misty aura. Her hair, a dark chestnut hue, was styled in an elaborate coiffure, with braids and twists woven together in an intricate design that showcased her noble status.

Her makeup was subtle yet effective, with a soft blush on her cheeks and a hint of color on her lips, like the gentle touch of a rose petal. Her eyes, a deep, piercing crimson, shone with intelligence and grace, fringed with lashes that seemed to flutter like butterfly wings.

On her right hand, a magnificent ring bore the Salvadore family crest: a golden dragon encircled by a laurel wreath, its eyes gleaming with two bright rubies. The ring seemed to glow with an inner light, symbolizing Mariana's pride and loyalty to her family's legacy.

Around her neck, a delicate gold chain supported a small, ornate pendant in the shape of a dragon, matching the crest on her ring.

The room was adorned with priceless artwork, and the floors were covered in rare, exotic woods that showcased the true beauty and luxury of the suite.

"The Colonna family was brutally slaughtered," Leonardo said, his voice low and measured. "Marie Anne's son, Andrew, was killed in the attack. The family's guards were butchered, and their mansion was left in ruins."

Mariana's eyes narrowed. "We need to act quickly, Leonardo. We can't let their enemies take advantage of their weakness."

Just then, the door to the penthouse suite burst open, and Alexander walked in, his tall, muscular frame filling the doorway. He wore a tailored, black suit, his crisp white shirt open at the collar, revealing a hint of his chiseled chest. His piercing blue eyes scanned the room, his gaze lingering on Leonardo and Mariana before nodding in respect.

"Sorry to interrupt, but I have news from our sources," Alexander said, his deep voice commanding attention. "The leader of the assassins has been spotted in the city, gathering a new team to attack the Colonna family again."

Leonardo's eyes narrowed. "Assemble our team, Alexander. We'll show them the true meaning of power."

Alexander nodded and left, returning with a group of powerful men. There was Marcus, a skilled warrior with centuries of experience; Jake, a young but talented fighter; and Samuel, a seasoned strategist. Together, they formed a formidable team, determined to bring the assassins to justice.

As they prepared to leave, Leonardo stood up, his eyes gleaming with a fierce intensity. "I'll stay here and coordinate the attack from afar," he said, his voice firm. "Alexander, you're in charge of the team. Bring me the leader!"
